Its rated at 600W RMS i guess. If you wish to use the 75.4 for fronts and the Sub, that means you will be using 2 channels in bridged mode for driving the sub.In bridged mode, that amp provides ~ 200W RMS.
It will be underfed for sure, i say.
As for the front Components, they are rated at 125W continuous, correct me if i am wrong. The JBL 75.4 provides 104 x4 @ 4Ohms so i think it should suffice.
Let the experts comment on this, whether its enough or a dedicated Amp for driving the Sub is necessary.

the 75.4 will drive the HX300. Yes the HX300 can handle more power but that does not mean that the sub needs more power. From what I remember the HX300 is fairly sensitive and will do fine with 200W esp in an efficient install like an IB.

i recently heard that, you dont need an amp to power components. they are very powerful without amp. is this true??

you dont need an amp to power components - TRUE they will make music even without an amplifier.

they are very powerful without amp - FALSE power comes from the amplifier.

hi..i have somewhat finalised the ice setup..as i had a budget of 30k..already exceeded a bit. so had to stop somewhere..
front - hertz esk 165 compos
rear - hertz dcx 690 coax
sub - jbl gto1204br
amp - jbl 75.4

what do you guys think about this setup. as i have a budget under 40k..so not willing to buy another mono amp for the sub. i will be powering the front compos and the sub through the amp and the rear coax from the stock HU.

Sanchit

You setup seems fine, except your front speakers and rear speakers are from different series. I suggest you either get DSK165 fronts with your setup, or get ECX690 rears with the above.

Cheers!

the ecx 690 is quite expensive and the rear is going to be powered by the HU. so thought of buying better compos, as they'll be powered by the amps.
what about the ECX 570 coax..is it good and the cost. can you please give me the cost of all the components of my setup. thanxx a lot. does it make a difference if front and rear are from different series.

Sanchits,

The civic's stock size for front and rear is 6.5". So there is no point considering 6X9's or 5X7's. I suggest that you stick to 6.5" speakers.

In case of Hertz following combinations are recommended :

DSK 165 and DCX 165

ESK 165 and ECX 165

If you are going for ESK 165 in the front then put ECX 165 in the rear. Don't bother with ECX 570 / 690 as it will involve cutting the parcel shelf.

The ECX 165 will cost Rs 500 more than DCX 690. It will offer you the same tonality as ESK's being from the same series and will fit in stock location without any modification. Check out civic install threads.

If budget is less then you can consider DSK + DCX 165 combo.
