Infractions: 0/1 (4) | Actually, I don't know if you noticed but HERTZ is one brand that has a large range of drivers for DIY or Active use. You can take any of their drivers, and use with their custom crossovers in many possible permutations / combinations. Some examples: 2 way ![]() 3 way ![]() DIY ![]() Now I am not being biased but even though we represent two more speaker brands, the flexibility and choice that HERTZ offers is unparalleled. The ease with which their drivers fit stock locations helps a lot when doing modern cars like Skoda, Porsche, Mercedes etc. Quote:

Also they offer accurate results unlike the rotating knobs like in pot design cannot achieve. As posted by Moral few posts ealier the same has been impemented in one car in mumbai on the Illusion Audio Carbon Series Speakers and Steg Qmos Series Amplifers. Two channels of the QM75.4X drive the front 8" midbasses while the other two power the 5.25s and the tweets. The Illusion Audio first order passive crossover is utilised for the 5.25 and the 1" Low Fs tweeter while the 8" hands over to the 5.25" at 450 Hz, actively by use of Steg Audio Quality X-over Modules (AQXM Modules). ![]() | |

MF, active XOs are often just cookie cutter designs. B&T does not even have to design one.

| Senior - BHPian | Brett, for 50k here's what would be the revamped suggestions: 1) Front Compos - Illusion Audio EL 6.1, JBL GTO 607, Infinity Ref 6010 cs, Illusion Audio Luccent LM6.1, Hertz 165, etc. etc. (Starting from 6-11k) 2) Rear Compos - Same as above in the 5.24" driver. (Same range) 3) Amp(s) - 4-ch amp for the speakers (JBL GTO 75.4II, Ground Zero GZTA 4.120MK², Blau GT4, Pio 6300, etc.) from 7 - 12k 4) Sub - sub capable of about 400W RMS (Ground Zero, JBL, Hertz, Hifonics, etc etc) About 6-8k. Amp for the sub - Panasonic CY-PA2003U] Best amp to drive a sub IMO. Will be cheaper in the gulf where you are right now. In India it is about 8k. 5) Wiring - 2 x 8 gauge wiring kits about 6k (Scosche, EFX, Ground Zero, Monster, etc.) Hope this helps.
