| Senior - BHPian | Hi godspeed, I am not a guru but I had a similar budget once. Based on my experience, I would suggest: DVD HU : 15k Components: 6-7k (JBL GTO, Hertz DSK, Illusion etc) Co-axials: 3-4k (Same as above) Amplifier: 12k (75.4) Subwoofer: GT5 series 4k + Enclosure 1.5k Necvox screen: Around 5k (Not sure about the price) Wiring and install - 5k. I know that blows your budget. You could try a HU like Pio 5850 for about 12k. P.S: Please don't use the dotty style of posting.

Veer Ji, i think JBL GT5 sub alone will cost you 4990 INR (am i correct sam ji). and pio 7950 is a better buy as it is available in 8000-8500 grey in delhi . For speakers, i am biased on hertz (front) and JBL 937 (rear).rest decide on speakers after a demo and i thin gurus will be in a better position to help you .bye

I suggested a DVD HU since he'd mentioned a roof mounted screen. ![]() As I can see now, his post has been approved late (DVD HU) - as he is a newbie. ![]()

for 40K it would be diffcult to fit in a roof screen, a DVD HU and a sub and amplifer. Youd have to strech your Budget to 50K to accomodate all you want. The Pio 5950 DVD is 14-15K Front components and rear coax spekaers are 9-10K for JBL GTO, Hertz, illusion Electra your best best for a sub is a JBL GT5 sub with a box for about 5K. Then you would need atleast a 75.4 (now discontinued) which retails for 12K with Bill and warranty. A roof mounted flip down screen will cost you about 8K. if you buy all this from your installer he would be tempted to include decent wires for free.

| Well actually my budget is about 90k but that includes fitting of alloys and replacing tyres for my car and exchanging existing ones for that. So apart from that everything i have to spare is for my ICE which also i am going to replace. |

| Senior - BHPian | dude you are based in chennai so please let me suggest you this! try going to coimbatore and buy the alloys and tyres where are cheaper because thats one of the first places to recieve the tyre and the alloys from abroad(i mean imports), lessser middle men would mean a benefit to you, and i am certain you will find large variety to choose from, well this will lessen your costs for the alloys and tyres and the rest you can spend on the ice! dude my cousin is based in chennai(actually chennai-kanjipuram) and is currently on hunt for alloys for his swift, he is looking at the fifteen inch wheels, he says they cost only around 12000 bucks for a set of four, i mean a decent brand, then you can put aside a budget of say 4 tyres for these alloys each costing around 4000 say(i mean even if you go for the better ones than the bridgestone potenza G-III tyres) you are spending 4*4000=16000 so on the total its 28000 bucks even if you go in for a set of five tyres and alloys then its around 35000bucks you will be spending! so you do have the budget of 90000 right so this should solve your problem! you can have the cake and eat it too! | If you like the mids I would suggest you demo a 3 way component set ..The dedicated midrange here will be quite nice.

For your budget, I'd recommend you to drive down to Bangalore as I see better installers here.
