Unhappy Settings gone after removing HU and removing key

I want to know if the below phenonmenon is normal.
I recently installed a SONY HU (CDX-GT660US).
I had set the clock and also saved other settings.
Now when i remove the Head Unit and Remove the key of the Car, all the settings get washed away and the clock is also RESET.
Is this normal? If not how can i retain my clock and other settings.

Not sure about other settings but the clock gets reset. I experienced the same with my GT560. But anyway, there are'nt too many settings in these HU's, apart from one or two custom equalizer settings, and some minor ones in the setup.

the wiring for the battery constant and the ignition has been interchanged just get that corrected. would take 2-3 minutes
basically there is one wire which is connecte dto your battery and this retains memory in the system and one goes to ignition. they have to be swapped

Go with what ICEMAN91 has suggested. I am sure its because the wires have been wrongly connected.

I have a different problem.. I cant eject the CD unless I remove the faceplate !! Is this like a safety feature in Sony HU's ?

the guys at the A S S is also not familiar with the wiring of the i10.excuse them for their ignorance and like a guru in the field ask them to reconnect the wiring.it may help on their future installations also.feeling proud to be a part of the TEAM.

check the alignment sometimes if the slot does not match the HU and the face plate so just check that id brand new try to get replaced underwarranty or it could be just a fittign issue adn needs to be "adjusted"

The one in which you the falce plate comes down and then u put the CD is called the flip down.

The other one is where the face plate has a slot for inserting the CD
