@Ramie, an IDMax will not work out. But you can get an ID and a nice Monoblock for 25K. Wiring & the box would be extra though

The ID12 V3 would be about 12K, a JBL GTO301.1 Mono would be about 13K and wiring would be about 2.5K. The box for the sub would run to about 1.5K.

ramie,

happy new year to you and hydra.

IMHO you can't really get a nice pair of subs and an amplifier.

what you can do in 25k is to get an idq12" and power it using a jbl 75.4 . get a dual 4 oh, sub and use the 75.4 bridged and you'll get 284w x 2. IMHO, for a sub, the 75.4 is a good option.

otherwise you can get an srx2. it can do around 200w cont bridged to power an id15 or 1dq 12 or you can even get a hertz energy 15". i can assure you the sq is top notch in a sealed enclosure. ofcourse its all in my opinion so let us hear what the gurus have to say.

cheers

IdMAX would cross your budget. Chalo what else do u have in your car. And geting 2 subs with mono amp in 25k is a very difficult thing. Because good mono amp which can drive two subs will be expensive one

Go for a pair of GT4-12 and 75.4

If you are having GZ stuff then go Titanium serie sub or a single Radioactive or two if budget permit.

what subwoofers you can suggest if i cut down the amp and get a cheapo 4channel amp for my speakers/compos(may be a second hand) as the SS xta720.4 i am running on nearly half the volumes for the speakers i think its a good amp to power the subs in series..what say??

for sq, a single will the job i guess. get a 15" id or if can stretch your budget then an idq would be purrrrrrfect. this is the sub i would call a magical sub. it sounds amazing and any one using any size idq can vouch for this fact.

dont compromise on the sub department if your aim is sq. i have not heard gz so cant comment. b&t can give you the advice you are looking for and i trust he wont be biased.

cheers

hi lbm,

have you heard the above mentioned subs? if yes then how were they set up? what ampsor amp was used and how was the sq? do let me know please. :-) i really would like to have your opinion on GZ.

honestly speaking, i somehow don't like the name of the brand and the logo. but i would never base my opinion on looks at all so that is why i want to have a listen or yours and b&t's opinion. you never know i get GZ subs for my car. i think they really look good. build quality also looks excellent.

cheers

Yep. The D510 is a very good option. But I'd heard it was tough to find one now? I'd prefer it first too

@ramie, I didn't intend that you get a pair of IDs. Get just one. One 12" getting good power would be the best sounding option for 25K.

For 25K, if you really want a pair of subs, you will need to look at a pair entry-level subs. One really good 12" sub would sound wayyyyy better than two-entry-level 12" subs, SQ wise.

And driving two subs in a sealed enclosure is no mean task. You'll need a much better mono amp than you would be able to get for 10-13K.
