Default JBL GTO 937 Jarring problem

Hello Everyone,

I am sorry for starting a new thread if this is already existing. I was not able to find in search options.

Problem I am facing is, I have JBL GTO 937 in my car. It did really good for a year. Now the problem is the rear right speaker is making a jarring sound. I have a pioneer head set and have no amp and sub set up. I have the front JBL speaker which i am not sure of the number.

I request our Audio Gurus to answer to my question. Some times I just take my car out just to listen to the music, please help me asap.

Sam Kapasi, I got these speakers from Sound Factor, Bangalore. Please help me.

Thanks in advance guys.

I had a similar problem, just check for the speaker grill....it might've become loose.

Very good suggestion, I will check that. Any other reason you feel?

Sometimes, the wire that is connected to the speaker may have come loose. One of the terminals may have come loose, and when the car moves, it will periodically come into contact with the terminal and produce a jarring noise.

There might be dust in the speaker VC area as 6x9 are very prone to this.

These are the posible reasons along with your Plank/speaker tray might have become loose.

. One simple solution is to unscrew the speakers (not the frame) and keep them upside down. Then play some songs with heavy bass beats. This would ensure that all dust is cleaned up by the speaker itself

Thanks every for the suggestions. I showed it to Sound Factor. The speaker has gone bad. They are saying that this has never happened with JBL speakers till now. It must be the first time. I have the warranty card and the bill. They will get it replaced I believe.

Thanks JPL.

That is strange to hear that. So what do you think would be the reason.

Let's see what the factory guys have to say about it.
