Pioneer GM-600 / EQ-4500 - need reviews

[size=3]taking a stroll around my place day-before i found a store doing a distress sale - selling stuff for 60-80% off..[/size]


[size=3]i bought a Pioneer GM-600 Power Amplifier & a Pioneer EQ-4500 Graphic Equalizer - both new-in-the box for $28 (approx Rs. 1316 @ Rs. 47 to $1) - i only bought them for the low price they were offered at..[/size]


[size=3]i feel they're Pioneer's slightly older models but still retail at a much higher price than the price i bought them for[/size]


[size=3]1. the Amp has the following specs (i've mentioned only a couple which i think will be useful):[/size]

[size=3]cont./rms power o/p: 18Wx2 @ 4ohm, 0.5%THD, 20Hz-20KHz[/size]

[size=3]now, what i need to know is - [/size]

[size=3]these were bought with the object of being fit in a Zen (located in Bombay) fitted with a Blaupunkt Jackson CM-148 Cassette/AM-FM Radio head unit (producing max./peak power: 35Wx4 = 140W, the cont.rms power is approx. 13-18Wx4 - not sure about this though) mated to a Blaupunkt CDC-A05 10 cd changer. i'll pass on the front spkrs which need to be changed but the rears are Blaupunkt TSx652 6.5" co-ax full-range speakers producing 50W cont./rms power & 150W peak/max power.[/size]


[size=3]if the GM-600 & the EQ-4500 are fitted, will there be a significant change in sound quality - improvement or otherwise? would there be any compatibility issues?[/size]

There should be,,, provided your speakers can handle it

would there be any compatibility issues?

Not that i can see..... assuming these are car audio amps & eqs.

hey dude these are very old sets. at least 8 year old. your blaupunkt head unit is producing as much power as the amp. but worth 28$.
