Default Slight Hissing sound from ICE

Hi

I own a Honda City the ICE setup is below

Head unit Sony MEX 2000-DVD Player
Front speakers.Sony HT170 NT-component,peak 240W ,rated 60W.
Rear Sony xs6948- PEak -420W ,Rated-100W
Amplifier Blaupunkt GTA4 800W driving all speakers...
Decent wiring..

Whenever the AC is on and I accelerate there is a slight hissing sound which is not audible wen music is at level of even level 5. but in traffic jams etc ( lots in bangalore )its quite audible.

I took it to my ICE guy and he did sometg like reduce the gain on the amp and the sound is now reduced a notch.. he said it was a temporary solution tho.

IS that ok ..is there any way to permanently get rid of that noise.?

That means hiss is forever present in the signal from either of the following (you are not hearing it in trafiic over the traffic and engine noise, but in a traffic jam other noises reduce; the same should happen when you are idling in a quiet place):
* The HU Preamp-Out signal has hiss from the music source or internal noise OR
* The amp is introducing / amplifying (possibly amplifying any noise in the input signal) hiss since HU Preamp-Out signal is too weak for sufficient loudness at the speakers, and hence the gain is set higher than normal

No, that's not OK. But, whether you can permanently rid the system of the hiss depends on a lot of factors (read the link given by Gill-sir).

Questions:
1. Do all sources give the hissing sound? FM, CD, DVD?
2. Did you ever listen to your HU with speakers connected to the HU (not amp)?
3. What (%) volume is set on the HU normally?
4. What (%) gain is set on the amp gain knob?
5. Does the hiss appear if HU volume is at 0 and gain is set high on the amp?

As others said, Try to route the RC wires on the other side of the power wires, that might solve the issue.

So what is the "decent wiring" brand ?

I guess the sound is very low now and only when i accelerate a lot like at traffic snarls when up and down on acceleration keeps happening
its not there when i switch off the AC.

1.all sources give the sound.
2.i always listen with the HU connected to the amp.
3.hissing sound is normally when the sound is at abt level of 5-10 ( out of max of 35 i guess on HU) as beyond that no way to perceive as music is high.
4.unsure on gain on amp.but last heard at abt 50% ...its left to my ICE guy..i am a NOOB u c..
5. unsure again!

and the cables are Boss.

Had a Blau Velocity amp in my ICE setup, had the same whining problem. Grounding didn't help, changed my amp finally. Never had the problem with any other amp, RF which I had a chance to try out (wasn't powerful enough) or Infinity (which I am now using) to drive my Infinity Sub.
