Gurus, I checked with another dealer today and he suggested me a trapeziodal enclosure for the rear which would have the rear speakers and the Sub Woofer right in between them.

he says that its the best way as it is useful not only for the best quality of sound but also flexible in terms of removing it if u want luggage to be placed or get the box out for any parties

So, what do u all say?

Secondly.. which is the best Pioneer HU(any other also if you all think its really better) available in the market for USB, IPOD connectivity and its price if possible?

Waiting for ur replies Gurus of accoustics ...

Currently, I'm looking at Pioneer Head Unit, JBL speakers (front and rear) , JBL amp and a SUB.

Plz suggest me as to which combination of the above would give an incredible output. I prefer a pretty good bass without losing sound quality.
I mostly listen to House/RnB and Hindi also.
Anyother good combination is always welcome.

I would also like to know speakers/sub output, type of amp to be used. Plz suggest.

Thanks
Hi I'd suggest 2 pairs of component Speakers front as well as rear.

JBL GTO components running at 2 ohms is a Good bang for the buck.

If u planning a sub dont put 6"x9" not required u get better clarity from component babies

as for the sub and amp to begin with the value for money option which would be get a JBL GT 2 channel amp bridge them run them in mono mode LP filter and tune the AMP to give to max punch.

Stick to ported enclosure.(i stick to it cos i listen to more rock music).
I think i listen to r&B right ask gurus what enclosure type is best for r&b

if u got the mulah to shell out get a monoblock D class and a solobaric sub which might rip u in 2 pieces lol.

Cheers!!

I'm not a guru, but AFAIK, those enclosures are not recommended. The sub needs an enclosure that matches the manufacturer's specifications and there is no need to stuff the speakers in the same enclosure. The speakers can be mounted on a MDF and the sub in a separate enclosure.

If you ask me, don't go for it. I have seen some enclosures like that in Sprocket, are you referring to the same place?

Where are you getting the install done? It'd be great to be there if it is towards the weekend.

RAC/Navin/Nitrous/Gunbir/B&T/nripin/raghu...
Can someone tell me which sub is better
JBL1204B
JBL1204T (bass tube)
or take a JBL GT4-12 sub and get an enclosure done...
which one is preferable??
i prefer a very good bass but NOT at the cost of SQ... Best that can be pumped out with no loss in SQ...
The Amp that i would be taking would be JBL GT 75.4. It wil power the front comps and the sub and the HU will drive the rear speakers. Will I get enuf bass or do i need to go for additional amp?

since the budget is like 40K why not do this!

get a cs60.4 and a mono cs300.1 instead!

rest is fine! and you might have to spend a lot more for wiring than you alloted! that is if you want good SQ, i am on a hunt for the wires too just pm-ed you , give me a call and lets meet up!

Lets start by the books
gto 75.4 when bridged at 4 Ohms produce approx 284 W rms if i'm not
mistaken so the best matching sub in the range that we are talking of
here would be the gt5-12. Get a Sealed box as per the dimensions in
catalogue.

But a VFM custom box might not look as appealing as a Branded enclosure.

Take look at my Enclosure thats a VFM setup.

As always CS series and lower power range than the GT series so i
recommend you stick to GT series.

Not to forget the good new looks of GT5-12 I have 2 of them running from a 75.4 highly recomended amp i must say but driving components from it is over powering the Components.

Previously i used them to power GTO936e from a 75.4 and they were ******* loud :(

Good i still dont need earing aids

Hi. From this list I would suggest CS1204B (i have the same and i am satisfied).
You can also buy the GT4-12 sub and get an enclosure done as per the figures prescribed by JBL. You will also end up saving around 1.5K (3990 for sub +1500 for box)
The GT4-12 sub used in CS1204B is the older GTO sub which was then introduced as the CS series once the new GTO line came out. THe CS line is now discontinued and thus the GT5 series.

You can audition both and pick what sounds best to you.

The front and the sub from the amps and the rears from HU is perfect. No need of another amp unless feel the need for one.

Do you already have the 75.4 amp?
