| Hi there, I have been going through the various the various posts here to understand all the ICE jargons and I believe I have learnt a fair bit. I want to buy a ICE sytem for my Indigo LS. Reading all the opinion here I'm thinking of buying Pioneer DEH-P4050UB. I would like to install a pair of 6"x9" in the rear. Currnetly I'm not planning for either an amp or sub-woofer. I was thinking of installing a pair of 5" in front, but then reading about the comp. I'm inclined to have a pair of comps in front. However I'm a bit confused. What are comps? Are they comp. speaker or do you mean to install separate mid and tweeter? I would really appreciate your suggestions. Especially regarding the rear speaker and the front speaker. Speaker budget I have in mind is around 7K, not sure if that would suffice for what I have in mind. Regards,

Infractions: 0/1 (4) | Component speakers means seperate mid and tweeters combined with a Xover so that the appropriated signals are routed to each one of them. In Indigo, you can safely go in for JBL 607 6.5" comps (little modifications though!), stock takes 5.5" As regards damping, YES! Indigo needs a lot of damping.

| Sorry for that question, after going through some sites, I found out that both JBL 507 and 607 comes with Xovers. I'm trying to find out more about the "why" and "how much" damping from the ICE section. Will be back if I need some help. Thanks guys.

Infractions: 0/1 (4) | if you're on budget, go for noisekill (PM B&T for details) of damping, if you're brand con-ci-ous, go for Dynamat or Dynamat Extreme (PM gunbir for details). depending upon your tastes & preferences, they would be in a better position to guide you on the prices and the required sizes.

| First things first. Can I get some recommendations on rear 6"x9" speakers too? And which is the best place in Chennai or Mumbai to listen to some of these systems? Also where do you all think is best to buy the system - Chennai or Mumbai? Thanks.

| Hi, I received the following quote from G. N. Car Audio (Chennai) JBL 507 - Rs. 3,750.00 JBL 937 - Rs. 2,400.00 As per them they are "Original (grey) item". What do ya'll think about this quote?

| Senior - BHPian | Sumith, any particular reason your sourcing from Chennai ? The prices are regular grey prices, thankfully there are no JBL fakes in the market. Im not sure but I think a 607 might be accomodated with the help of a spacer ring? In that case go for the 607 (6.5").

I'm currently in Chennai. I do have friends in B'lore and I'm going to Mumbai next week. So I'm looking where I can get the best deal ![]() 607...hmm.. panky12345 also suggested them. I guess now I have to seriously look at them. The reason I'm a bit uncomfortable with going for any mods is I don't know of a good installer in Kollam, Kerala where the car is currently. I'll however extend my search...
