My explanations for why i suggested iDA-X200 are.
1.The budget is good here
2.(not just a pod)USB drives are played,Gone are the Days of Discs!!!!
3.3 preAmp outs meaning good room for Improvement in future(only audio considered,no i'm no car video fanatic).
4.Yes it has Sub Volume control

Here are some, off the cuff...

- No CD playback.
- Does NOT do USB / HDD playback satisfactorily.
- Limited audio functionality.
- Really only good if you ONLY want to use an iPod as the source.

Do alpines come with Wireless Remote?

Aint they Optional?

I didn't want to Recommend 9887 as it does not have USB built-in apart from that i think 9887 is also a good option Bhagwan.

All Alpines come with wireless remote.

Pioneers are very very good for SPL set ups. However, my experiance with them in SQ set ups have not been satisfactory.

Sir, the 9887 is the top of the line HU from Alpine - for Audio only perpose.
The Eclipse is an option too. But no one sells it here in India. Digimax was to be doing it, but it never took off.
The 9887 has a great TA [Time Alignment] tool. Need that to get my sub to play 3 feet out side my front wind screen.
I like a very laid back presentation, sound should not play from the speakers, but from out side my car, all the instruments should be well defined & not not sitting one on top of the other - this is very important to me.
There fore I only want 1 pair of speakers in the car, the sound stage should be wide & deep. If I put 2 sets of speakers in, the sound gets cluttered and I cannot pin point the violin & chello's & the wind sections need to be sitting behind the chellos and not on their head.

Sir, I got the car this evening. 3323 is the RTO #.
Damn, the prices of the I 10 were dropped in the budget.
They went down by 16/- K ++ What bad luck. Feel so bad.

In any case, that is 'passe'

Now, I shall start the work on the car next week.
This weekend is the Auto Car - Speed Run, so will be busy with thaAt all for 2 days.

I will first start with the sub enclosure. That will take 7 days to make.
I will take photo's as I go along. Shall try and post them here.
Will have to get the hang of posting pictures on this forum. I am not that good with computers etc.

All said, I will surely cover the install. This car is to be used by my wife, hence I will only get to work on it during the week ends.

Hi !

The car was delivered on Friday;
Lost money on the excise reduction - bad luck - 16 K

I need to start the installation;

However, I would like to 'audition' a few 'top end' set ups before I take the plunge.

Only the HU has been firmed - Alpine 9887.
Rest of the gear still has to be decided.

I will spend 2 weeks - doing some listening.
I will start the work after the 15th [ides of March] !!

No Audio Guru's [ICE] from this forum have offered their cars /clients cars for a demo.

I want to listen to different cars before I decide what should be purchased.

I hope some one comes forward with help & auditions.

I am ready to travel anywhere in Mumbai as per the persons time and preferance.
