Default Upside down 6*9 speakers?

Hi. I saw a palio with upside down 6*9 on the rear parcel tray.
This was on my way home at a traffic signal so I could not peep into the car to check. The basket and the magnet of the speakers were completely visible.

Any idea what's this setup. Are the 6*9 being used as full range speakers or just as woofers for lower freqs.

A simple explanation could be that the tray was put upside down to accomodate some luggage or something of that sort but is this kind of an install possible and what are the positives or negatives.

Ps: I am not looking at an install for me but wondering what that was about.

Maybe the speakers are for a midget who they keep in the trunk of the car.

Come to think of it, ive seen them put speakers upside down in some cars on car shows.
These are in the trunk and mostly next to the woofer. Also, these speakers are generally huge.
Could anyone explain.

P.S. - Before the ice people get their torches out, i dont know much about ice. A simple four speaker setup with 2 tweeters is what im used to.

I used to do this when i start to hear the 'burr burr' sound in the speakers. This is mostly due to the dust settled on the speakers and by keeping them upside down for a short time with high volume the dust falls on to the cover . This can be cleaned off and the speakers start to sound normal again. I have tried this a number of times.

Now that's an interesting tip that I will try. My speakers sometime makes the 'burr burr' sound and I've been increasing the volume in an attempt to clear it till now

Nothing funny here, the owner must be carrying his audiophile pets in the trunk.

I think it may have just been kept there and not installed. At one time, i had oved 10 pair of speakers in my car. Not connected, just transporting. So anyone looking into my car would see a lot of speakers kept ulta on the rear parcel tray! lol!
