| BHPian | hello Audio Gurus, Yet another help needed to fit 6" components in my alto. The OEM location can accommodate only 4" components. I am in love with the 6" illusion components and desperately need them in my ALTO.i have a JBL 75.4 to run them. Now the door is so cramped that there is hardly and space to accommodate them. I am ready to cut the trims but i am not finding a proper location to fix them. I dont have power windows. so i have to keep the circumference of the window handle to move around freely. Sorry guys my handset is gone for repair. will take a pic of the door trim soon. If any guys with alto around can post some pics, it will be really helpful.

| BHPian | @rac, i had seen the components in speedzaks alto. also seen the other alto. they have power windows so they got some space to put it that way. @LBM that was too low. my heart has already become weak. i am finding the glassfibre work tidious and risky. we dont have people who can do this in pune.

| I have read somewhere on the forum that 5.25" should not be a problem without switching to power windows. Infact there have also been some pictures of an M800 with 5.25" in the front door. Searched but couldn't find the post. So i assume if it's possible on m800, it should be possible in the alto as well. |

| Check thsi thread too amit http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/sound-...e-install.html (Alto ICE install) I opened the door panels 2 days ago to get rid of rattling and there is very less space for components to be fitted in Alto.

| Senior - BHPian | Fitting power windows will solve all the problems na! These days, you can find some good makes for cheap prices. If you damp the door properly, then the easiest way to install 6.5" drivers would be to cut the plastic door pad where the door pocket ends in the front. Carefully, measure the size and level the holes/surface with fibre or MDF. Would recommend an expert hand than an amateur job.

| Senior - BHPian | Amit, LBM's suggestion is the best. Keep the speakers as further from the seats as possible. The cutting in the above picture looks great. Maybe, you can even shift them a bit more forward and angle it for a better sound stage.
