New Face unit in bangalore - Team-BHP

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a place that sells just head units for in car music players. My face unit got flicked from my car and i dont want to buy an entire player just to replace this.

Would any of you know a place in bangalore where i could pick this up? Obviously second hand considering no dealer would only sell a face unit without the entire setup.

You haven't mentioned the make and model number of your HU.

Search for the thread on installers in Bangalore. You will have to do the rounds and ask around, maybe they have a faulty unit left-over.

Ditto for the dealers & shops on JC Road Mission / Lalbagh Road. They sometimes have faulty units returned (with no recourse to official repairs, that's the bane of grey sales).

If you had bought it with b&w, maybe the original manufacturer can get you a replacement piece.

I dont think the face unit is sold seperately.You have to try to get it from any accesories shop were a damaged similar unit lies free.

I am in similar situation. Most guys i enquired started saying that its better to go with new system rather than sourcing it. The reason is, new face plate for Pio 3750MP cost like 2.5K to 3K, when I enquired in chennai. So, some also offer rbuy back and give a discount for 500 - 1000 (or more if he is known to you) for the old set.
Anyway, do let us know if you were successful in getting one.

Yeah i noticed i think mine is the sony xplod CDX-F5510..

If available, I think it defeats the purpose of having one. Wud help theifs a lot.
Flick the system from the car, buy the face unit and voila, you have a new system!
Hope they dont get the packaging too!!

Get a new HU, would work out to be easier and more VFM compared to getting a new faceplate only, which would be close to impossible.

Unfortunately i've come to realize this.. I know this might be the wrong place to ask but, what's the cheapest cd player ( decent one ) i could get?
