Hi Gill,

Do let us know a few things. Did you or anyone altered the settings of the HU or amp in any way? or your car went for any repairs recently? Is there a possibility of anyone messing up the settings without you knowing?

The problem could be the switch on the amp(Mono/Stereo) Also check the speaker wires at the amp end.

i would advise you to take your car to an installer who can check it or an electronics repair guy. They can check by trying a different amp/hu etc.

Let me know if i can be of any help. I hope your problems are solved quickly.

@ Scaryskulls - thand rakh(chill)

cheers

From all the symptoms, it seems like the 2-ch input mode switch on the 75.4 has been accidentally switched on, causing the 75.4 to use the front pre-out as input for the subwoofer channels. But this still doesnt explain how the sub can be trimmed/ boosted from the subwoofer level menu.

Hmm Ajay Bhai I think there is no 2-4 ch switch on the amp. There is a stereo -mono switch.

And the input of both the preout might be clubbing up.

Is the HU is running in the front + sub active mode? That changes the signal that goes out from the RCA pre-outs. Dunno if the signal leaving the sub-out will be changed by this but well,...

I think the active mode gets activated by a switch under the HU.

Gill, if you haven't done it yet, try everything from the beginning one by one. Like you're connecting the HU for the first time. Going back to where we started usually helps.

Since Gill can alter the sub settings I am going to assume that the HU settings are fine. Sub gets LPF and fronts get HPF.

the 75.4 manual is here
http://manuals.harman.com/JBL/CAR/Ow...%20OM%20LR.pdf

now Gill clear all HU setting and set your 75.4 like shown in Figure 7. once this is done we can get a clearer idea of your problem.
