ICE budget 25k...period

guys,its not for me but a friend,so the budget is strictly 20 to 25k for a ikon.

i want to know the best possible system in this budget
want the foll

• HU
• front components only - not sure of the size...wat fits the ikon?
• subwoofer
• 4 channel amp - to power the compos and sub.
• wiring

more SQ oriented with good bass...not into loud music. please give the best options available.

PS: i think the icon has 5x7 locations, which kinda reduces your options . then again, since you'll be getting a sub, round 5"ers should do fine

I didnt knew that even Ikon has 5x7. Though 1 question can't we make spacer rings to accommodate 6.5" ?

well you can look at the pio HUs

you can get the 5050 with 3 pre-amp outs its like around 6000 bucks

the components are like around 4000

the sub you can get the pioneer TS-W 307 D4 for around 3500 bucks

as for the amp you can get the GT5 A604 from jbl for around 6000 bucks and the rest can be spent on the wiring and installation. this a very good system in that budget.

and the total should be like 19500 for all the things and for the wiring, damping and installation you can spend the rest of 5500 bucks.


EDIT: all the prices i put on here are for the products in grey market they would cost like say 7000 more with bill and warranty

If i am not mistaken D4 is DVC @4ohm and if there is only 1 amp powering the components and sub then one wont be able to power the coils of the sub ?

You have to read the thread which Greenhorn has given link to.
Rider's suggestion seems excellent.

My recommendation:
6k - HU (Kenwood/Jvc/pioneer).
4.5k - Bull Audio 6.5" components.
5k - 4 channel amp (Kenwood/Jvc/pioneer).
6k - sub in a sealed box (Kenwood/JBL/pioneer).
Balance for wiring and install.

sorry about this sub's suggestion i got a little confused there, the better one would be the jbl's CS1204, or the jbl GT5-12 which are SVC@4ohms and should be just right for this amp when in bridged mode.
