| Senior - BHPian | Please dont go for pio speakers, Instead look for better options like JBL, And what are u planning to put In front?? If u are installing a sub, then a 6X9 is not necessary. Get a good set of comps in the front and a co-ax in the rear. The sub/Box depends on what music u like, for More BOOM, go for the tube, for tight bass, get a sealed sub!

You can have better speakers than Pioneer. But check before you go for them as many of them will be fakes. You can always trust on JBL and Polk if you are going through a retailer. Check JBL 607c speakers combined with either JBL GT-5 60.4 / JBL GTO 504 / JBL GTO 1004 or kenwood 8401 Amp based on your budget.

| Thanks for the advice, I am looking to replace whole ICE. As per your suggestion 6X9 is not necessary, so can you tell me which set of comp & co-ax I should go for? And price also Also it would be great if anyone can explain me difference between comp, co-ax AND speakers? My total budget is ~20-25k and I want to optimize it in best way. I am going to buy this from Popular Auto (Mumbai), so tell me is that a reliable place to buy? |

| hi antony u can go for a pair of 6.5" componenet in front and select a pair of co-axial (6" round coaxial preferable) for the rear.for ur budget u can go for jbl gto series speakers and about the sub,if you like more booming bass you can go for the tube bt if u need some quality and a more tight bass go for a sealed sub and for the amp u can select a 4 chanel amp from the jbl itself either from gto series or from the cs series. |

| Hope you are considering the JBL GTO504 as an alternate to the JBL GT5-A604 amp. If you want to drive all the 4 speakers (front and rear) with 4 channels, you should go in for either a mono or a 2-ch amp to drive the sub. If you want to drive only the front pair, then the balance 2 channels of the 4-ch amp will suffice to drive the sub.

| The A604 - slightly higher power. Instead of the 963 ovals on a plank, use GT5-652 (~2.5K or less) in the doors.

It is upto you which one you want to go for, the GT-5 series is the economy series and GTO is the little higher than GT series. The GT-5 A604 retails at around 7-7.5K where as the GTO504 around 10K and to check the specs GT-5 is 320 Watt and GTO is 280, but only deference would be the S/N ratio, GT-5 is 102db where as GTO is 105db and a better THD is also better so you will have better SQ. Yes, I think you can always run GT-5 963 with your HU, as you are already planning for the Sub.

| the GTO is a far far far better unit. it does not make sense to spend so much and then pick up an amp that you'd throw away as soon as you want to upgrade to more stuff simply coz it doesn't have that great an output. remember louder is NOT always better. consistency is more important which is what the GTO will afford you. more consistency in output will mean better bass from your sub too. it's all down to the internal class A/B circuits. in effect if you do get spare cash sometime soon i suggest you stick with the GTO for now and then buy a MONOBLOC to power your sub separately and then give the balance two channels to the rear speakers. |

Infractions: 0/1 (4) | Anthony! Everything looks good so far. Go ahead and enjoy your music. If asked for a suggestion, I will recommend you the new 608c components in place of 507. 5.25" cannot match the 6.5"! It will fit in the front door with a spacer job. Give it a try.
