Default Alpine 9883 - iPod Navigation

Hi guys!

I had asked this question in the "Use Search Thread" thread quite some time back. With more Alpine 988x users everyday, I hope someone can answer this query of mine:

While I am browsing for music on my iPod, I go: Artists -> Albums -> Songs and select a song to play. Now, if I want to listen to another song from the same folder, I have to start looking for it all over again, going through all the artists, albums and songs!

Is there an easy way to do this? This is a big problem when ur 80gb iPod is crying out for more space!

Same folder? You mean from the same artist?
Pressing the next song button will take you to the next song on the list. You can keep pressing till you find yours.

Else, the only method is to scroll all the way from the beginning. :(

Yea, I know I can always keep pressing next to play the wanted song! But would have loved if I could do that without stopping the current song. Sometimes I just find it easier to undock the iPod, play the song and hook it back again.

@valhallen.282 - That is always an option, but I am told that there is a distinct difference in quality! Maybe someone who has tried it both can comment.

In THAT case you would be interested to know that there is an EFX demo car abroad being used as a daily driver. It uses the digital out of the docks available like the belkin convert to RCA out and are directly hooked to EFX amp's and speakers. thats 4 comps and two subs. it was done in an SUV. The idea being that your HU is your ipod. so when you leave ya just take it and go. NO HU TO STEAL!!! point for you being that there is a digital out that you can use and then plug to RCA without loss of quality

I don't use MP3 CDs much but I believe it's the same navigation. Any ideas if you can do the same while browsing the CD?
