My car delivery got delayed by few weeks and arriving this weekend. Due to busy schedule ahead I will be able to do ICE set up only in Sept first week.

For a self driven Spark, the rear speakers are not of any real use. It does nothing for the quality/sound experience, so I would save the money and the hassle of doing them up, and either spend that money on a better set up with just two front speakers, or use that money for something else. My Spark has a pretty ordinary but original Pioneer HU plus speakers that is working very well indeed. Total cost Rs 10k. I am sure I could do better with the same set up with some more money for improved components, remaining with a two front speaker set up, if I wanted to, but this is good enough for the car, and for my tastes.

Not yet. Most likely I will go with a Pio 3150 and 4" components in the front.

sawyer, the fronts cant deliver anything near reasonable bass. thats why you need some 6x9's behind. Not to listen to music from behind, but to fill in the low frequencies the fronts cant deliver

Yes they should have them, also do play a bit with the tweeter position before finalizing.

you dont NEED to have comps in the spark, the default location is quite good.

You need comps in cars like the alto/Wagon R where the 4" location is hidden/not pointing at the listener

I wouldn't say so especially after hearing two Sparks, one with Pioneer Coaxials & other with EL 4.1

that's not a fair fight

I went to Professional Sound in JB Nagar (It's a small shop)

He suggested
Pioneer DEH4150 SD HU Price 9000 with bill&warranty 7200 without

Front 4"
JBL Fusion Rs1400
or
Lightning Audio - B2.40.2 - Rs.2200

Rear 6x9
Lightning Audio - B3.69.3 - Rs.4000
or
JBL S396 - Rs.3800

MDF Tray - Rs.700 with Art leather cover

Gurus .... your expert opinion please..

I have also booked a spark and looking for a ice setup around same price point. After going through some of the threads in this section, I would like to know your expert opinion regarding which speakers sounds better in terms of clarity - Hertz or Polk or JBL ?

Thanks in advance.

First of all it's difficult to rate the speakers unless you listen.

Anyway, I would rate Hertz/Polk > JBL
