Stock OEM music systems and related opinions

Nowadays most makers are including pre-installed Ice systems. This affects the choice of many people in selecting a car. Hence it would be great if we can know what brands of ICE are used by what makers?(HU, speakers and tweeters) and also how good or bad they sound.

While many premium cars have built in ICE I am not including them here due to the number of cars being huge. Some cars I know having built in ICE.

1. Chevrolet Spark music
2. Chevrolet Aveo U-VA techno
3. Chevrolet Aveo
4. Chevrolet Optra Magnum
5. Fiat Punto
6. Fiat Linea
7. Ford Fiesta
8. Honda City (AFAIK, It's Alpine)
9. Honda Jazz
10. Hyundai I10
11. Hyundai I20.
12. Hyundai Verna
13. Mahindra Logan
14. Mahindra Scorpio
15. Maruti Swift/ Dzire
16. Maruti Ritz
17. Maruti A-Star
18. Maruti SX4
19. Lancer cedia
20. Skoda Fabia
21. toyota Corolla
22. tata indica vista

Most of the OEM ICE's are of Nippon Kenwood brand. AFAIK, they are found in the following models

10. Hyundai I10
11. Hyundai I20
12. Hyundai Verna
15. Maruti Swift/ Dzire
16. Maruti Ritz
17. Maruti A-Star - Not sure
18. Maruti SX4
22. tata indica vista - Not sure

Yup, corolla has a Panny.

If I'm not mistaken, the Hyundai Accent also comes with Kenwood as OE ICE.

Fiat Palio used to have Blaupunkt HU.

what do Fiat linea and Punto have? and what does a fiesta have installed?

Also when Fiat and Ford say that it's a 6 speaker system, does it mean that the fronts have component? Skeptical but still a valid question I guess.

Skodas come with Alpine if i remember correctly.
Even the Hondas come with Alpines.

In the Fiesta the 2din H.U is from Sanyo and is quite okay,the speakers have FOMOCO printed on it which stands for Ford Motor Company.Regarding the 6 speaker system no front component speakers are provided.

Most OEM systems are built to a price point. A very small price point. Honda used to supply Alpine HUs on their City but have now swtiched to a custom HU that is part of the fascia.

OEM speakers: in general the less said the better. A few OEM (Audi for exmaple) offer better speakers but they charge ridiculous ammounts for this add on.

The ANHC HU is not even CD equipped. THis wont bother some like me who consider ipod a defacto standard source for car audio but many of my friends and colleagues have not been happy with the deletion of the CD some even paid 13K ro so for the add on CD player only to realise that they never use it.

I see this trend growing.
