I was with a friend inside the car, and he said it might be because of the underpowered rear 6x9 coaxz.... It absolutely felt lifeless, there was hardly any bass or treble, defeating the purpose of having that oval... Donno why...

Also, navin, the pioneer's volume really peaked only at volumes of 32 - 35, and below that, there was hardly any reproduction of music... My muzic peaks at 15-17 with the 9833 and you'd understand better than neone, what I'm trying to say.

Honestly, the whole setup sounded dull... And I kinda doubt it would be a bad install, becuase this guy was in the automobile accessories trade [guy shares office space with the JBl distributor in chennai, same building] and am sure he wud have had access to a good, if not best, installer... Although, he could have also got the job done by some 3rd grade fellow, who knows...

no bass could be a reversal of phase. no treble can only mean blown tweeters (underpowered amp clipped).

those levels are not absolute values. just relative. so dont worry about that.

By that, i didn't mean absolutely NO bass and treble, but like I mentioned, it was dull and lifeles... sounded very sad... The owner was very very disturbed, after he heard my setup and played the same [my custom cd] on his pioneer.... He kinda felt embaressed and pissed... Was very fascinated by the 9833 tho....

what i mean is that at "32" the Pioneer might be putting our 1.2V and the Alpine might be putting our 1.2V at "17". absolute voltages are what you should consider not what is on the display the numbers on the display are reference levels only.

use your ears! if the speakers are complaining turn it down. if you cant hear yourself speak turn it down.

loud is fun but dangerous. besides your amp, speakers and ears must all be able to handle it without overload.

like i said before 30W rms at 20hz will make most speaker complain. 30W at 100hz and most speakers will manage fine. in short use your ears and common sense.

Its been long since I posted (Infact asked anything) but I was in touch with the forum day in and day out. I haven't got the setup yet as It is raining heavily here in Chandigarh for the past few days.

And today I got a "Top Urgent" marked courier from MICO BOSCH Bangalore containing all the info abt Blaupunkt products with costs and warranties as applicable.

Lemme take a look at them and then decide. If we rule out B&W, how will you guys compare Blaupunkt's Unit v/s Pioneer's (say 5750)

Thank you.

And yes I also wanted to know whether the TEAM-BHP Stickers are still available?
