retain the pio. Santro takes only 4inchers at front and hence there isnt any 4 inch compo tht I know of.
Try a good 4 incher at front like GTO426 or Hertz or Boston etc. If you want a compo then, you can get a 5*1/4 for rear pods. Or, a fibre setup on frnt door panel ($$).

use the Alpine amp to power the 4 speakers and the 502 for the sub. OR
use alpine to power the front speaker and the sub.

go for a good four inch coaxial.buttt i think kicker makes four inch components.i think i saw it somewhere.

yup, kicker does make a 4 inch component set. I have it in my esteem. Its Kicker EX-4.2 costing 5k. Stunning sounding components, believe me.

I guess I will retain the pioneer 6"x9" (http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_2408.html) as they deliver good bass(powered by the 502).
One thing it tends to put out excess highs as these are 4-way speakers.

Not sure what to do with the Boston 6"x9" (http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_2408.html)
Maybe I can sell it over the forums market place. These have hardly been used!

Will dig around for some options in 4" , not really keen in drilling or cutting the door panels.
Fibre setup would have been a nice option but I have money constraints !!

I use a pair of JBL GTO426 for the frnt pods; powered frm a pio amp. Its plays damn loud without any distortion or whatever. Only if it was in an enclsoed pod...sigh!

Forgot to mention earlier, saw your JBLfyed car and its a sweet ride man. Very neat and clean layout

One thing is I want output in the front that delivers clear MIDS.. Priority lies here as bass in the rear is kind of sufficient and highs are a little shiny.

Also I want to invest in good speaker wiring/interconnects & terminals. So will rip out my existing setup completely and start from scratch.

check out jbl or audison or monstor cables. Gurus say to avoid Bose (or is it boss) stuff.

Try to avoid cutting of cables.

If you can get that kicker compo as compos are better than co-ax. gto426 costs 2.5k

My setup misses a sub desperately. It will be a jbl sub box and a good mono (300.1 should do); waiting for Mr.Bush to snd me pocket money to buy these.

5. power Pio 6891 woofers with the Sony 502
6. Power Boston speakers with Alpine 240.
7. add HU as and when your budget permits.

Im a novice when it comes to the technical aspects, so will have to read abotu disengaging specific parts of the speaker setup.

Currently I got a flat MDF plank in the rear with the 6891's.

Additional question regarding approx cost for
Wiring/Terminals/Connectors <santro> :-

- HU/Front comps/Tweeter
- Rear 6" x 9" (pio 6891)
- Rear 6" x 9" (boston fx93)
- 2ch 502 / 4 ch alpine f240 --> Would like to fix these in the boot.

I plan on using the Audison FS/FT series.

Yes the guru has spoken and it felt like I had been hit by a drug !! Hehe.
About HU, I will have to resort to exchanging my current HU with some dealer and paying the difference. Dont think I can afford a different HU right now. Yes it would be nice if I could work with McL and learn.. lets see how it goes
