I am not planning to go for a SUB or AMP; so does it make sense to go for Ref9613i or GTO937 (by doing small alterations) to get better BASS? Also is it OK to have Infinity Ref in the front and GTO in the rear? BTW, I would like to use your identity to get a good price at Bangalore. Hope you don't mind that! Nothing wrong with doing that, but the quality of mids and highs coming from the rear and front will be very different. In any case you will have faded to the front compos, so it doesn't matter too much, but why don't you get matching 6X9's, atleast you'll have a similar sonic signature through the car.

| Sam, thanks! I will stick to the same brand for both front and rear. (I thought so earlier too; but wanted to check with you once.) Metal trim for a 6x9? I think then that will be a no-no. Thanks again. Regards, Babu |

Actually, was lying unused till i found it today morning. Thought 'd use it if it were any good. Guess it has to go back into the shelf again.

| Senior - BHPian | How good are Streetwires wiring kits? Specifically this one... StreetWires PSK04BM Multi-amp Wiring Kit 4-gauge kit without patch cables Blue power/silver ground at Crutchfield.com I'm thinking of picking up my sub woofer amp in the US. There's a 50% off on any wiring kits made by either rockford or streetwires. Would like the opinion of folks here about the quality of either. Picking up the Infinity Reference 1600a Sub amplifier for 250$ Last edited by reignofchaos : 4th August 2007 at 05:41. |

| Distinguished - BHPian ![]() | $60 for a 4 gauge power kit is not some crazy deal. You will get better brands for the same price here in India. $250 for the ref1600a is a very decent deal. Pls bring it carefully and I hope you don't have to pay duty.

2. correction I think they put 6022 in my mom's car not 6012. i have no idea what part of "loudness" you are refering to. pardon my senility but I need a refresh-reboot for my memory so if you give me a quote or a link I would be happy to explain further. When I was born I was like a Univac/Cray as I got older I have become more like a Wintel PC (constant need of Crtil-Alt- Del). 3. The 9613 can fit with minimum metal cutting however if you are getting a subwoofer I dont see any need for a 6x9.

Yesterday finally I tried the battery test. Nothing! No pop. I checked for the movement. No obstructions. So disassembled the woofer from the box. Checked the tinsel wires. Visually all are connected well. ![]() ![]() Also i found that there was no infill inside the box. ![]() What is the trade name for polyfill? Can I use geotextile filter fabric (which is used in civil-mechanical work) for the same? What thickness should I maintain? Last edited by Dhar's : 4th August 2007 at 11:51. | |

| Hi, I recently purchased a DVH P4950MP Pioneer DVD player. Not sure if the guy who fit this did a good job. This is connected to a JBL Amp with a JBL 1000 W Tube in the trunk and 5 way coaxial rear speakers, 2 Front Door Speakers and two tweeters in the front glass. the car is a brand new Logan Renault. Does anyone have the manual for the wiring for this set of audio devices? Or if someone can suggest the best wiring for this, I am game to try it. thanks |

Thanks for all your inputs. I got myself Infinity Ref 6022cs components in the Front and Infinity Ref 9623i for the Rear. Believe me, the music all around the car is just too good to listen to and I can vouch that without inputs from TBHP, would have installed those red colored poor ones! BTW, there was no need to cut the metal to fix the 6x9 in my NHC Gxi; Sound Factor in Bangalore installed them with just a spacer. (I checked in a NHC VTEC which also came for a small install; that car had a 6 incher too with the same spacer). One thing that I wasn't (and still am not) sure is whether I got a good deal. I just got a little over 10% OFF on MRP for both the set of speakers; but the install was FREE of cost. (I just tipped the installers. Anyone will do it seeing their professionalism.)
