Well i have a woofer in sealed box in the boot. so if i change the rear parcel, i should go for a hole between the rear speakers? do u think its a good idea to get the woofer inside as in in the rear parcel tray, will that be better or a woofer in sealed box in boot?

Well it depends entirely on where the intended audience is!

Quick question regd amps. Can an amp make a set of speakers sound "brighter" than another amp with similar settings?
Was running my Illusion compos off a Soundstream amp (dunno the model) for a while and have now switched to my JBL 75.4. The treble is definitely much higher now... having to set the treble to negative on the HU to enjoy the sound.

Yes Razor, amps influence the sound...

You have a 4 ohms dvc sub. so you can wire the two at 4ohms or 1 ohms. What final impedance you need to have ?

Ok.
Now is it possible to tweak the settings on the amp (frequency, input level, hpf/lpf/flat) to make the front compos sound a little less bright? I am happy with the way the sub sounds, but the front is a little too "treble-y" for me!!

Not really few amps have HF controls. Your HU will have though and try dropping the treble down 1-2db.

Strange. A change of amp should not cause such a huge increase in treble.

Use the jumper in the crossover to attenuate the tweeter by 3dB. Instructions are in the manual. If you dont have it, I could give you a soft copy.

There can be a change that I agree but that great is strange to hear that. I have listen to a similar setup with Illusion Electra fronts with 75.4 and kenwood HU it was sound sweet.

Try adjusting the tweeter level from the cross over.

That's what I am doing currently... was wondering if this could be tacked at the amp level itself.

This confused me as well. Maybe I've gotten used to the more sober output caused by the Soundstream amp (suits my taste to be honest). Will have to play around with the amp & HU settings more to find the sweet spot.

Could you mail me a soft copy? Will have to do some hunting around for the manual otherwise! Thanks Ajay!

Quite simple there Razor, open the front plexiglass of your XO. On the lower left of the XO you'll see a total of 6 pins out of which 2 are jumped using a jumper. Try all three and see which suits you best. IIRC lowest is 0 DB, 2nd is -3DB and the topmost is +3DB. Try the -3 DB jump.
