Have you auditioned the same or just going by the shop keeper recommendations. Listen to the stuff before buying.

this is karan here. I have booked Swift VXi. I should be getting it anytime soon. I know this question has been asked often. But i need tips of which HU
and speakers to put in the car. I would prefer any HU from Pioneer and Speakers from JBL. I am ready to shell out 15k. I want decent output.
Hope to get your replies soon. Thanks

Hi Karan, buy a HU which plays USB it will cost around 10k(may be less in gray). Spend the remaining on a pair of front component speakers say GT5 for around 4800.

You can use spacers to fit the desired speaker, so dont restrict your search only to that size. I would probably add the Illusion Audio co-axials to the audition list. The EL series is very good value for money, and sound wise very neutral.

I have not found Illusion's in Hyderabad.

The speaker range available here are so limited & even in the brands that are available it is so hard to get the right model.

I will be traveling to Bangalore sometime next month & maybe I can get something out of there & get it installed here.

I checked with Sprocket again and he insists he cannot add spacers to accommodate other size speaker apart from the stock 5x7.

This is the reason firstly why I had to narrow down my range. I was initially inclined to go for the Hi-Energy series from Hertz but since the 5x7 is only available on the Energy series, I am planning to go with it.

The state of ICE installations in Hyderabad is very sad I must admit.
