Crossover is mandatory...its not cosmetic. It divides and give the frequency to the drivers which they are designed to handle.

Has anyone tried the ODX speakers from Blaupunkt ?
hhhmm..the speakers that u have mentioned seem to be coaxials..check out this link for further info..
http://www.blaupunkt.co.uk/7606302001_main.asp

now why would u want to spend a whooping 3k only for the crossovers..thats a total rip off i think..at that prices thats 12k he can get alpine r-types or even the hi-energy series from hertz..btw does that 3k include your another pair of tweeters along with crossovers or just the Xo..

well if ur willing to pay 12k for both ur rears and fronts i would say give up blaupunkt and get the alpine s-type components (not sure what the prices of the r-types in chennai)..then get 6.5'' coax from alpine for the back..alpines anyday better than the blaus..then u can get urself a sub and amp and complete ur config...

it actually doenst make sence to go for the ODX speakers as they are coaxials and hence already have tweets,by adding another pair of tweets and crossovers it would make totally 8 tweeters in your car..ud go insane lol..either get the ODC series or try gettin alpine components for the front and coaxials for the rear or the same config from blau..

i couldnt find ODC in Blaupunkt's catalogue. thers ODce; but is a center speaker.

VPc 132 (130 dia, 100W RMS, 300W max Power, 91dB, 4ohm)
VPc 172 (165 dia, 120W RMS, 360W max Power, 92dB, 4ohm)

these are teh compos i could find.

maybe you can get ODA Surrond Amp and the get the ODce (dia 56, 25W RMS) and have a 5.1 setup

The above said amp ( 4x40W + 1x40W) has a cool remote(touch screen) !

p.s. i had the indian catalogue and hence maybe the ODc 172 compo aint sold here
