Info about Car Audio Systems - Team-BHP

Hi Friends

Needed a small(but for me its big) claification pertaining to the car music systems. I have recently bought a santro Xing and would like to install a audio system. My Budget is anything less than or upto 10k.would any one guide mw as i am not aware about the tech spec and also the components which make my system complete...

Santro takes 4 incher for the front pods and think its the same at the rear.

HU: Pio or Sony : 6k
front : jbl CS series MRP Rs.2250 b&w OR sony at less tahn 2k
rear: jbl CS series MRP Rs.2250 b&w OR sony/pio 4incher or 5 inch if it fits on teh pod.

Alternate would be to get a 6 inch co-ax or 6x9 for the rear on the tray. May cost you 3-4.5k.

Also see blaupunkt speakers, though blau HU's would cost 6k up.

The base mp3 model of pioneer is priced around 4-4.5k.Go for it if u just want plane jane mp3 playability.

splendid: so 5k for HU + 5 K for speakers

I think he can sony speakers for 1.5-1.75 for front pods and 2.5-3.5 for rear tray and antenna for 150 + install price etc >=10k!

p.s.: i would avoid sony speakers and get jbl speakers, which isnt much costlier than sony ones. Try to hear / inquire about it at a local jbl shop.

and I heard pio 6X9 gives good bass, but try to get originals if you like how they sound ( not their color! )

for any budget under 20K i'd say half for the speakers and half for the HU.

so for 5K all you will get is the base pioneer without B&W. Youd have to up your budget to 12K to get the base blaupunkt with B&W.

that leave 5K for the speakers. for 2.5K per pair you can get the JBL CS series or Blau's entry level. Unfortunately the stock locations (front and rear pods) in the sanrto only take 4" speakers. that means little if any bass.

if you want to get a rear deck and fit some bigger speakers there (read as 6x9) you'd have to up your budget by 3K to 13K - 1K for the MDF rear deck and 5.5K for the JBL CS 6x9 or basic Blau 6x9 and eliminate the rear 4" speakers (2.5K).

Well Dear ,the info given was of great help to me, atleast i got the direction to approach. Navin could you recommend any dealer who is good and genuine (both in terms of product and installation) in CHEMBUR or GHATKOPAR or nearby area....As I am new to the area ,it would be of great help....Planning to get the system installed in couple of days...
