In my experience, both 2) and 3) are crap and cheats especially the IOC one. Have not tried the one opposite Spar.

This is usually a very reliable petrol station, both on quality of fuel dispensed as well as correct readings. A lady & elderly gentleman act as supervisors and most of the attendants have been there for a very long time.

They have their own tanker which brings fuel to them, the chances of adulteration are therefore negligent. The owners too, are good people.

I regularly fill up at this fuel station and have not faced any issues with them for over 2 years now.

I drove into MATS Fuel Park (the HPCL pump near Cosmos Mall, ITPL rd) and was pleasantly surprised to see every attendant greeting vehicles with a namaste a la Shell attendants.

Is this across all HPCL pumps or just specific this pump?

Normal petrol still at Rs. 73.52/litre thankfully.

^^ Yes, I guess they started that some 3-4 months back. Had gone there once and noticed it along with windshield cleaning. However after getting mixed reviews on the forum stopped going there. Have come across couple of HPCL pumps also where this is followed. The one on HAL airport road, opposite to NAL is another pump with Namaste followed with please get off your bike if on 2 wheeler.

I usually go there for my tankful. Really good place. I will recommend it even over the Shell outlets (its useless to buy the much more expansive Shell oil, theres no visible difference either in engine noise or in FE and I have tried it many times). One more excellent thing about this place is free air topup that is offered while your car is being refueled. This way, you dont have to wait at another point later.

I think this kind of service is exclusive to this pump only. I didnt see it at the HP pump in HSR Layout.

I never had any issues with this bunk. However, there were some reports of tricks played at the two-wheeler filling section.

1. IOC COCO between Jayadeva Flyover & Udupi Garden signal.
2. HP on JP Nagar Ring road (esp for cars)

Of your list, 1 looks better of the three. I dont see much action in the other two, esp in #3.

I have been a regular at MATS from the past three years both for my car and two wheeler. The staff here do not indulge in tricks like in other places . Even if I run short of fuel elsewhere, I usually fill just enough in other places near house and topup in MATS.

Regarding the free air topup, I still have my doubts. Two times, I felt the tyres were underinflated.

The IOC bunk opposite Bowring Institute entrance gate, on St Marks Road, attached to the India Garage, any feedback on the latest status ?

I used to be a regular at this bunk for many years before Shell opened up and have never been there in past few years.

Ive always filled up from here after my car servicing and whenever Im at MG road and its been good. The attenders dont try any scams or havent tried any on me yet. And they leave the pipe till its auto cut. So no tricks there either atleast I havent faced any yet.
