To begin with here is a Volkswagen brochure from 1980, issued to visitors at Wolfsburg.The VW Beetle production had ceased and had shifted to Mexico and Brazil in 1974 and so the Golf was something they had, to boast of:

These are extracts from the P.Ward Owner's Handbook/ Maintenance Manual for the Hillman Minx Series I to VI and Husky I to III (1956-1967).
The older Minx's from the 1940's and early 50's that we are familiar with in India are the Phase I,II,III and so on.

Just found an advertisement for a 1956 Plymouth informing about the aerodynamic styling.

This car advertisement is from the era when Austins and Morrises, hitherto two bitter rivals had similar designs. This was because Morris Motors headed by Sir William Morris (later Lord Nuffield) bought Austin Motor Company in 1952, a decade after the death of Lord Herbert Austin in 1941. It then became a conglomerate viz. British Motor Corporation.

The Austin A 60 a Morris Oxford lookalike!

A Morris Oxford Series II (our Landmaster) advertisement from the archives. The favourite phrase of Lord Nuffield (earlier Sir William Morris) the founder of Morris Motors was "Quality First."This is used here in the advertisement. The Morris Cowley Oxford Owners Club (also Issis) journal is called "Quality First" as a tribute to the founder.
(its identified as a Series II, because the steering horn button can be easily identified. Or else, the upholstery and the window shape are the same as the Series III)

One advertisement is for a wheel disc featuring a Morris 10 while another is for Smiths meters featuring a Morris Minor 1000.
