Even when fuel is available at 4 Rs. a liter, you want to run on LPG? I guess there wouldn't be any LPG stations there

Even if petrol is 4 bucks a litre would you want this

Quote:
Under the petrol rationing scheme brought in last month to stem the state subsidies spent on keeping pump prices low, private car owners in Iran can only buy 100 litres of petrol a month.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad refused to allow any purchases in excess of this quota, although parliament's original plan was for excess consumption to simply be charged at a much higher price
However there is hope
Quote:
But, parliament agreed to give a bill "first priority" that would allow motorists to buy petrol in excess of their quota at much higher "free market" prices.Giving a bill "first priority" means that it goes to the top of parliament's agenda and will be debated and possibly voted on in the next days.
Ahmadinejad has argued that allowing motorists to buy extra petrol at a higher price would have inflationary effects in an economy where prices are already on the rise.

hi guys i am back to india and got some more snaps from tehran.i just could take snap from those rides which were parked and without any passenger.it was too difficult to take photos from car(specially new cars) because they were looking at me some how i am come from jungle and havent seen any vehicle.

about the rationing of petrol in iran must say traffic jam was getting horrible day by day and also the international sanctions which is gonna happend to iran is the another and most important reason of ration.
also have to say that all the car dont get 100ltr per months the category is like below:
personal cars 100litre
taxis 800ltr
bikes 60ltr
private taxi 600litr
and every car has got a electronic card which shows how many litr is used and how much is left.som if you have 3,4 cars you will have 3,4 cards that can be used for one or two of your cars only.
