sourav, boss is not liked by many in ICE-section of team bhp coz they make pathetic wires. Try other brands available, i am not aware of the brands in wiring harness so i can't comment.
Anyways,
Pioneer 6800 - 9.5-10k (w/o B&W) (try P1Y, its much better costing 12.5k, IMHO better than the Alpine 9830)
JBL-GTO-426e - 2.5k (B&W)
JBL-GTO-606 - 5-6k (B&W)

For the future-
Alpine mrv-240 amplifier for the front and rear speakers(exceptional SQ) - 10k

HU - Pioneer 6800 - (Price???)
Front - JBL 426e (Price???)
Rear - JBL 606 (Price???)
Wiring + MDF Board to fix Rear Speakers + Radio Antenna - Rs 2000

Any idea what would be the cost of the above items w/ and w/o B&W respectively in Bangalore ??
Boss doesnt make any car-specific wiring harnesses. If you get the real 'Boss' amp wiring kit (God bless those who make fake Boss stuff, it's like photocopying a blank page) it aint a real bad deal cos it's cheap. Just dont use the RCA cables, get something better.

The wiring harnesses that you get for hooking up the HU are not branded. And it isn't a very complicated piece of technology, so it should work just fine.

Pioneer 6800 is probably 8-9k.

JBL Pricing: I think we should get a section somewhere in this forum where everyone can put up the pricing for all commonly available brands in excel format so that people can easily download and refer.

The Main Diff In 6800 And P1y

1) 6800 Has 7 Eq But P1y Has 3 Parametric Eq (good Music Setting for 6800)
2) 6800 Has 50x4 But P1y Has 60x4 (this Can Be Good For Powering Ur Speakers with p1y)
3) 6800 Has Bulit In Aux In For Future Upgrades Like Connecting Ipod But P1y There Is No inbulit Aux In U will have to spend again for rb-20 (aux in unit for pioneer)
4) 6800 Is Latest And P1y Is Year Old

Rest Both Of Them Are Good Hu If I Was U I Had 6800 .

HI All,

Finally got the following configuration fitted into my WagonR today, from Sound Factor (Preetam).
1. HU - Sony CDX-GT350S (Grey)
2. Front Speakers 4"- JBL CS2104 (white / With Bill&Warranty)
3. Rear Speakers 6"x9" - JBL GTO936e (White)
4. Boxes to fit in Rear Speakers.
5. Radio Antenna
Total Cost : Rs13500/-

The bass and clarity is amazing. Initially I thought of putting an extra Sub and Amps but now, after hearing the sound effect and some extra settings in HU's EQ settings, I feel there is no need for any subs or amps.

I would like to thank all of you and other TeamBHPians for your help and suggestions.

Cheers,
SOURAV

P.S: The JBL showroom next to SF have put up some awesome multimedia speakers (2.1) in display. The design of those speakers are very unconventional yet very stylish. And sound effect is very good. But I feel they are bit costly in comparison to Creative 2.1 Speakers.

LBM, i feel you have missed out on one 1 very important benefit which the P1Y has over the 6850. The preout voltage of 6850 is 2.2v whereas the P1Y is 6v. It makes a good amount of difference when adding an amplifier to the setup.

There is a huge difference between JBL and Creative. JBL multimedia is better compared to Altec Lansing multimedia. Funny they had origins with the same person fomr 50 odd years ago.
