Default protecting the front speakers???

Hi,

I have a pair of JBL GT0-606Ce components which i am still to install. But i am rather getting worried about the installation. Rainy seasons are ahead, and as we see most of the front speakers are installed in the door. I cannot install the speakers inside the door because accent cannot accomodate 6" speakers and moreover there is some problem of water dripping inside my front doors after washing the car every morning.

Although my audio setup guy told me that it can be installed by doing some cutting in the front door of accent to make space for it. But i am against this cutting stuff. Other option avaliable (which i am looking forward to) is, install the components by fitting a custom made panel on the front door. (like the JBL palio had done).

Now since the rainy seasons are comming, the crossovers, tweater etc. could be damaged, if rain water dripps on it!!

Can you people suggest me some other way of installing the front component speakers so that it can be safe from rain water?

Hope you all understand my post

Thanks

1. dont install the crossover on the door.
2. the tweeter can be installed on the dash or left/right rear mirror pods
3. most car audio woofer cones can withstand the occasional drops of water. if you fear water behind the woofer (where the terminal are) get this...

hi, i need another help from you people. Presently i have a blau THA480 4 Ch amplifier (Rs 13500 MRP) which is about 3-4 months old. I am planning to sell it and get a JBL GTO75.4.

How much money do you think i should get after selling the blaupunkt amp? OR Can u people suggest me some place where i can sell this amp and get a good deal?

May be such a question should not be raised in this forum, but i had to, because the person from whome i got this amp 3-4 months ago is now giving a very very disappointing price for it (app Rs 4000)!! for a Rs 13500 amp.

Do you think it is fair enough deal considering that the amp is not very old and no problems exist with the amp?

Thanks.

No i dont think it's fair. You should ask for more, or keep the amp.

Well since you paid 13500 for it and used it barely for a few months, i think you should ask for 7 to 8 grand atleast. Try posting it in the marketplace... or on ebay india or something.
