The bearing used are sealed one and are resistant to fail in these type of situations. Also I would not be using this ride as a daily drive so the usage is very low. Its good you got sealed ones, but still, are these considered to be water-proof? Or just dust-proof?

The purpose of the bearing is to increase the belt wrap at both the alternator and the compressor. The belt stay at the same position and does not moves or gets slips even under load !!! Why not go for an idler pulley? Wouldn't that be simpler?

About the Idler pulley I did not get your point here. The bearing are used as a idler pulley just the diameter is a little small. Can you help me clearing up what are you asking here ????

Instead of going for 3-4 bearings stacked together over a bolt (this is what I see), why not work up a design for a pulley itself and get it fabricated and mounted over a SINGLE bearing? You will be able to increase the arc of contact of the belt much further and the design would be much more reliable.
I mean, it would look neat and you wouldn't have to worry about the bearing going bad.

But yes, that's only when you are looking for reliability over a long-term. I don't think this design of yours will fail easily.

Just a suggestion if you wish to improve this design .

Initially I was using a single bearing but the belt slipped under load. Thats why I installed two of them to increase the area. I might be putting a bigger bearing when these fail as they are designed to handle upto 15000 RPM. Next time I will be using a bigger diameter pulley/bearing to decrease the net RPM of the idler pulley/bearing !!!

Good idea I'd say.

Also, with 3-4 bearings stacked together, they might heat up due to rubbing against each other, and ultimately, the lubricant inside might melt, but that's a remote possibility I think but you should still consider it.

It'd be better that you get one big bearing of the required dimension to be used as an "idler pulley".

Or better still, fabricate something similar to the pulley in the link below according to the dimensions you require-

Two bearing stacked together does not rub !!! There is always a little bit of clearance between them. And they both rotate at the same speed !!!! So from where the rubbing will come ???? Or the heat !!!!

And I cannot see the image. Please post it again !!!!

Yes, I think you're right, they'll not rub.
The bosses of both the bearings will butt together and provide clearance.
Sorry for the confusion.
Regarding the pic, let me try again-

If not this, one big bearing (sealed) will be nice. You might have to keep the dimensions in check, but you will find it.

To one and all, this thing needs to be experienced. Its a crazy setup inside his car. I had a look and "feel" of it at Autocross, BIC. If you think its "just bass", well, the bass, howsoever low and powerful, is still sweet-sounding, and that is something I found amazing. Even with so much power, the bass still sounds sweet from 50 meters away from the car, hehe.

One must appreciate LBM's effort towards building this setup ALL BY HIMSELF.
God knows how much study and fabrication must have gone into this build. The end-result is extraordinary .

Keep it coming, LBM .

Bhai LBM Freedabadwale, be careful - you will be pulled up for domestic abuse (even if she was smiling).

Tangential thought: With a very simple attachment to the window, your setup can actually function as ... a cotton ginning ('dhunai') mill. Ask your neighbors to bring out their quilts.
