Default GPS integration with Innova's multimedia display. Possible?

I really need some advice.
I just purchased a new Toyota Innova VX. I love the touchscreen music system+Bluetooth+reverse camera.
I wanted to know if there is anyway I could
integrate a GPS in the existing system.
I don't mind if its an external plugin device so long as it uses the same screen.

Thank you.

Mods - I tried a different thread but no joy. Please merge if required. Thanks

Interesting thread. I can use the same for my Fortuner as I guess this is the same unit placed in the elder brother of Innova. Thanks !

Note from Mod: There are several spelling & grammatical errors in your posts. This negatively affects the board experience for other readers.

Kindly ensure that you proof-read your posts prior to submission. Also, it would be a good idea to use spell-checkers.

You can check with Map My India. They have some add on unit for all systems. Hope Toyota Innova/Fortuner has a Pioneer System. Even they have for Sony, Ken wood & JVC.

As far as my information goes, the Multimedia units in Innova/Fortuner/Corolla in India do NOT feature a Video-In port. So it will be very hard to integrate the same.

@aks_karthik:
I checked the vehicle and the documents but could not find the make of the system.
Since mapmyindia caters to several makes, I'll contact them and see if can help. Thanks

@Ahmed:
Will keep you posted with any useful info I receive.

@rajismine, @dkaile:
It is Bluetooth compatible and has a USB port but no video in.

The OEM manufacturer of the Indash system for Toyotas are Caska. IIRC, the Maps are not uploaded/ disabled in the units provided. You can reach out to Caska to make it work.

OT - I got my old style music player in my Altis G replaced by a Caska Touch Screen Unit. It has the rear view cam + maps. The fit is finish is very good. I am not very happy with the Map My India maps though.

Caska OE in Toyota? Rather difficult to believe! Toyota normally does not source any electronics from Chinese design units - getting a unit through their OE program is a very difficult ask.

Caska *does* make units that match the OE look of dashboard of many cars, but their units are so-so in quality (sound, screen).

I went to the Caska website and they do have Toyota, Honda and others among their clientele. Have mailed them and mapmyindia for advice/up gradation.
Will update as soon as I hear from them

Hemal Patel drops the following note:

Quote:
The post says that the ICE is from Caska. But I believe that might not be the case. I believe its from "Fujitsu Ten" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fujitsu_Ten).

The toyota accessories list (I have the scanned copy) also confirms the same.

Well no luck anywhere. Went for the first service and asked the service exec about the GPS integration. He said he wasn't sure but thought it was a fujistu system. Further he was confident that the integration is not possible.
So I guess I'll have to get a separate stand alone system.
Thanks
