congarts lbm. so my dream came true. it is indeed the gz plutonium. lol.

souljah, don't forget you are comparing a 5000w rms 15" spl monster to a 12" 1000w(?) sq sub.

it looks like an 18" sub to me.

Ok here are the install pics..

The sub test fit after cutting the hole in the MDF

First a steel ring was made to fit the PCD of the sub mounting holes the threading is done in the ring to tighten the allen bolts. The black ring was supplied with the sub.

I love allen bolts as they are used to install the sub.

The steel ring is mounted on the front where the sub will be mounted.

again test fit of the ring which is supplied with the sub

the steel ring test fit with the sub.

The sub mounted on the front baffle which will give you the clear picture how is the mounting done.

Hi Clip. Its a very different subwoofer. Neither your everyday SPL woofer, nor the tame SQ woofer. For it is the first and only 10kW sub to have won the EISA award (not the award for get loud and you win!). It may have won SQ competitions, but I am not aware of them. Besides, the lower level Ground Zero subs pull off very good SQ making them a good choice for someone wanting to win an SQ sompetition than to spend the fortune this beast costs. The mammoth power handling is of no use to a SQ competitor. What I am aware of though, is that it has been consistently reviewed by magazines alongside top SQ subs and has fared exceedingly well if not as best.
