Well you could clearly see that the JBL gives more (100x4 for 4ohms)RMS power compared to the 4x60(4ohms) of the blau in the spec scenario.

But it is really upon you to decide which one you want considering the price also.

Well i havent heard any news that the JBL 1004 is discontinued.Same case with the blau also.Go to some other dealers.

I'll suggest try some other place as well because there has been no news of JBL 1004 getting discontinued by the Yeti Lord Sam Kapasi also.

P.S. 25k for Amp + Comps + Sub can get you a set of
Illusion Electras - 7k
Ground Zero 30T - 8k
10k inclusive which can include the Blau GT4 / JBL 1004 + Wiring + damping ( If you go in for the 1004, you'll need more bucks for the wiring + damping as it would cost you around 9-10k.
Abhinav the rates you have mentioned are MRP for Illusion and GZ 30T it seems. I got the following approximate quotes with B&W

Illusion EL 6.1 = 5500
GZ 30T = 6000 - 7990. Here the ice shop person said he is not sure about the exact rates as this is just launched model and not available with him. So he gave the higher Band just in case which is MRP.

JBL 1004 - Though not available he said it would be around 13k

Seems I am not getting the correct market prevailing rates as he wanted me to finalize there and there to give me the exact quote. Cannot accept stuff at MRP.

Dynamite Damping for front 2 doors - 2500
JBL AMP wiring kit - 2000
Illusion component speakers wire - 1000

Rates apart first need to look for some more ICE shops for options.

BTW when I told that my HU has TA and will he be able to set it he was not clear in answering this question. I feel ICE shops here in Pune are just sales minded people and hardly technical. Dont mind going mumbai if thats the case then.

Wake up Pune you are still laging behind Mumbai

FYI - Just went through JBL India website and dont see JBL 1004 amp listed there.

It cannot be 13k.
14.5k is MRP.
Both the illusion electra and ground zero 30t have been in the brochure for a while now.
Which dealer have you been visiting.

I'll say talk to bass&trouble.
He'll tell you where to go.

Can the swift take the 6.5 components without any extra fuss?because I read multiple options like 4" and 6.5".Just want to make myself clear before purcchasing anything.
How will it sound if I have a pioneer p80rsii + 6.5 comps (havent decided any brand inparticular) no subs and no amps.

Yes, the 6.5 would fit.
It would be better to go for the P80RSii + 6.5 comps + an amp for the speakers atleast.
There's no point spending for the P80 if you do not plan to add an amplifier.

The P80RS has an internal amp. The specification are as follows:
Maximum power output ....... 50 W 4
Continuous power output ... 22 W 4 (50 Hz to 15000Hz, 5% THD, 4 W load, both channels driven)
Load impedance ...................... 4 W (4 W to 8 W allowable)

Most HUs come with inbuilt amplifiers.

There are some which don't like the Eclipse CD7200.

But then only an external amp would do justice to an HU like P80.

If you plan to add an amplifier later , then you should go in for the HU.

P80 mated to an LRX 2.4 and only 6.5 comps in the front.Add a sub later on and no rear fills. Will it work?

LRX ? Audison?

Yea, it will work good.
Add a sub later and you will be good to go.

Yes Audison.Though not confirmed.I know there are dozens of components discussed here, but still which speaker shall i go for RMS 100 atleast, shoudnt be very bright should have enough punch,I mean BASS.But I am still wondering if the Lrx 2.4 will be an overkill for 100 W speakers. This time though I dont want to buy focal speakers.

Default Advice on ICE for new Swift VDi

Hi BHpains,

I have tried searching the forums for ICE. Every place the discussion ends indifferent threads or I may be not pick the right intent as the discussion answer or solution likes somewhere else in thread as so many people post in between the question and answer. Can we not have like suggestion based on price like computer hardware ? But I like all the experts and suggestions. Really a cool place Team BHp

Please suggest me. I have got my Swift Vdi. Iam really novice in this area.
Max budget is 30k. Suggest me a ICE(audio) - considering Poineer for Head Unit.

Thanks,
Prabhu

A 'normal' systme would be something like this
HU: 7K (Pio, JVC, etc..)
Front components: 7K (JBL, Blau Thc, etc..)
Rear Coax: 4K (same as above)
Rear Sub: 6K (JBL/GZ 10" in sealed box)
Amp: 7K (Kenwood 8404, Pio 6300, Blau GT4, JBL GT5)
Wires, Damping (front doors atleast), Install: 5K
--------
36K

With a bit of bargaining you shold get it all down to about 30-32K.

Use the HU to drive the coax speakers in the rear door and the amp for the sub and front components.

Navin ji has said it all.
For HU in 7k you can get the 5190UB without b/w
Front compos for 7k can fetch you illusions, jbl , ground zero etc
rear coax - go for preferably the same brand as front else anything would do.
A 12" JBL can be had for 6k. There is no 10" GZ as far as i know which retails in India.

Amp - the Blau GT4 of the JBL GT5 / GTO 504 is your best bet.

The sub can be had for around 4k so you already save 2k on the budget navin ji has posted.

The Swift trunk is a bit small. I dont know if a 12" in a box will fit. My FIL uses 2 6" subwoofers (if you can all 6" woofer a sub) in his Swift (powered by a Blau 4 ch. amp).
