So now need to go in for a HU and rear speakers also one Mon-amp? my budget would be 20K max?
Get 6" speakers in the front and rear. If you want you can consider components in the front (there will be cutting of the A pillar or door panel for fitting the tweeter). The 4 speakers should cost you 8-10K. For 8K you can get a good HU with 3 pre outs.

Spend money (if any) saved on damping front doors and good RCA cables.

Default Pio A1682 or A1672 6.5"?

Hi guys,
Have any of you got Pio 1682 or 1672 6.5" co-axials for your Swifts? I guess they would fit perfectly in the in-door speaker recesses. I need to get speakers for mine (Pio 5900 HU), and don't want the MDF board at the back. Any advice?

@TNAWAYAJ, the Swift can take 6.5" in the front & back doors.

Why Pioneer speakers? Did you listen to other brands also? If you didn't, (and if you haven't completely finalised on the Pio speakers) I think it would be a good idea to listen to speakers from JBL/Blaupunkt/Alpine/Kenwood in the same range. You might be pleasantly surprised.

Thanks hydrashock! Actlly, I wouldn't know which ones to check out in the 6.5" co-ax arena. Do you happen to know of any popular models?

Thanks a lot Team BHPians for the help!!!..
finally i put on the maui + GTX 173( all four). One mistake i didnt notice that. The radio on the maui tunes to only odd decimals , like 91.1 etc and that results is not so optimal reception...

Another Swift ICE question query.

Budget - 10-15K

I would like clarity and not too much bass.

Is this setup fine??

Pioneer 6950: 8k
Front Components Boss: 3.5k
Rear Triaxials JBL 636: 3.5k

Can anyone tell me a better setup, i usually listen to bollywood songs at sedate volumes.

My budget was similar to yours'. What I got was Pioneer 4950, JBL CS 2165 Components for the front and CS2165 Coaxials for the back. They go in stock door locations. The clarity is good. I could use a little more bass, but then I didn't want to go anywhere other than stock locations. And I'm sure my HU needs a little tuning. Well under 15k.

This is no fault, it can be changed. Look in the manual, for how to change the radio step.

Well, I see a weak link in those Boss Components, but then components for 3.5K cannot be got in any good brand.

CS2165C are components. CS2165 (no C) are coaxials. The CS2165C are recently launched, stripped down versions of last years GTO components and good VFM.

A few of the more popular ones have just been mentioned here:
JBL CS2165c (6.5" components, Rs.5K), the 2165 (6.5" co-axials, Rs.3K) Blau GTX173 (6.5" Coaxials, Rs.3.5k I think).

Other good ones are the JBL GTO607c (6.5" components, Rs.6.5K), GTO637 (6.5" co-axials, Rs.4K), Hertz DSK165 (6.5" components, 7K) and the DCX165 (6.5" co-axials, Rs.4.9K).
