Navinji i think panky's question was whether there will be improvement if he uses a dedicated CD HU instead of using CD changer which is connected to cassette HU.

navin, i said am using cassette HU WITH Mp3 changer....idea is to determine whether a better brand of HU (obviously CD) would sound better with my amp speaker set up (JBL spkrs + Pio 6100 + JBL 301.1 II) or should i hold the changing of HU?

So currently i should think of :-

Front Compos JBL GTO 607c - 6.5k
A Sub - enclosed one. Cant i fit a free air one?

Also instead of a sub can i put larger 6 x 9 speakers on the parcel shelf?

Having a budget of 15k except the HU, what can i go in for? Should i go in for Sony 554amp and (XS-L120P5H) woofer? So in that case, i will get amps, subs & speakers within my budget, but is it worth buying Sony?

Front Compos - 6.5k
Sony 554 - 5k
(XS-L120P5H) Woofer - 3k
Around 15k + RCA cables.
Bump any input? ?

Default JBLified my Swift

Hey Guys,
After having many discussions with Gurus from TeamBHP and also thier suggestions and advices. Many thanks to HydraAshok, SAM, Gunbir,Navin and IRaghava.

I installed following:
HU - Pioneer DEH-7950UB
Front - JBL GTO 607C
Rear - JBL GTO 937
Amp - JBL CS 60.4
Sub - JBL GTO 1204D 12"

Result is Gr8....!! no words to explain ..!! Its Rocking :-)
I am able to play songs from USB pendrive and also from Ipod (thru USB cable). 7950 is gud choice.

Pioneer + JBL combo is the best ..!!

Some Sony older HUs are really smooth sounding but I have not heard a Sony cassette HU for a long long time so I cant tell what your reference is.

The swift rear deck wont accpet larger than 9-10" speakers. The 554 is a good amp for 5K but a bit grainy. Still if you are on a budget it is a good reliable amp.

@Busa,
Here is my total cost breakage.

Pioneer DEH-7950UB - Rs 10k (Grey)
JBL GTO 607c - Rs 6.5 K
JBL GTO 937 - Rs 3.5 K(Grey)
JBL CS 60.4 - Rs 7k (Grey)
JBL GTO 1204D 12" - Rs 4k (Grey)
wiring & parcel tray & sub woofer box = Rs2k

@hydrashok & Anup
I will update with the pic soon. BTW Audio clarity is so gud, that i can get very gud treble and Bass effect in lower volume. I had connected SUB & front comps to Amp output. Rear Ovals are directly connected to HU.
