Comparing 6950IB, 7950UB has motorized face , USB and also IPod playback through USB port(using the cable which comes with Ipod, for data transfer to PC).

If u wanna connect Ipod to 6950, then u need to get special cable to connect Ipod to HU which is costing around Rs 950 (app). So i felt the 7950 is much better option.

@BUSA, good prices. If he's giving you a bill & warranty it's a good deal. Maybe he charges extra for install?

Yes Install with flush mounting is 450 + cables & wires extra. Is it good enough. I have heard of fake JBL's and hence the worry from my side

Check with Sam if he is a recommended dealer to buy JBL from. If he isn't then these are probably grey market stuff. I am not sure though. Mebbe Sam could comment on it.

the install is perfect but If you can upgrade the amp to 75.4 then the setup will be a rocking one......or you can try audition both the amps 60.4 and 75.4 and choose which you like best......also are you going to wire the rear coaxials with the HU....

I have a doubt. What i know is that using an amplifier in a non sub setup will produce clearer non distorted sound at high volumes. Does it also helps in low volumes ?

At all but the lowest of voluimes. Damping factor for seperate amps is far better than the HU's amp. The dynamic Headroom is also much more. etc...

So you're able to play from your Ipod using the standard Ipod usb cable (which comes with the Ipod) hooked to the USB port?
The reason I'm asking is that another member reported that he was unable to do this, and he needed to buy the separate Ipod adapter that is available for Pioneer for 900-odd bucks.

Yes, I am able to play Ipod thru PIONEER 7950 UB using the Ipod data cable chord which is used to connect the PC thru USB port.
Its gr8..!!
After connecting to HU, Pioneer will display in the Ipod and all the control are from the HU(play, stop, skip next).
