Is there any need for an amplifier in a Swift for GTO 507(Component) & GTO 937(6x9) which is to be powered by a Pio 2950 HU ?

[The music is never meant to be played loud...Only minimal/medium volume is required]

If you findyour self turning the volume past the half way mark get an amp.

Mithun, in case you are not satisfied with such a simple and straightforward answer to an ICE query, you have an option to complicate things by going through this one:

Question Where to go?

Havent seen sam on this thread for a long time....

Can anyone let me know if i can get the grey market pio7950 at fxaudio at inorbit malad??? coz i think it will be good to get the entire system from one place... Also do they do the installation as well & are they good at it?

I got a quote of 9.5K for pio 7050 at alpha...I think thats reasonable

Default Mission Completed :)

After going thro this thread many times, asking questions, consulting, analysing, and what not...finally i have ICE'd my Vdi. Last weekend I went to chennai to do that. just wanted to share the details with you.

Following is the setup...

Pioneer 6950 = Rs. 6300 (Grey)
front (door) = Pioneer Compos - 250W = 7200 (With B&W)
back - on tray= pioneer 3 way - 400 W (6x9 ovals)= 2200(With B&W)
wooden plank and wiring for compos = 1100

total = 16,500 (after bargaining on the total bill) + 350 (labour) = 16,850.
though i havent spent too much on the budget, the o/p is fantastic. i really liked the performance of the system.

All the items, i bought from JP road in chennai and for fitting, i had a guy come to my home from Radio Ware house. the installation was neat and perfect.

iam yet to buy the iPod connectivity cable, since it was out of stock, i have asked the guy who installed the system, to courier me when he gets the item.

I wanted to have Polk compos in the front but it was around 9500 with B&W. but I liked Pioneer it is also good comparatively.

If you want JBL components that fit in the front, go for the GTO607C. Alternatively you can go for the CS2165C.

Well, swiftcrazy, since you've chosen your rears (GTO937), the best front comps to go with them would be the JBL GTO607c (6.5" 2-way comps; Rs.6.5K).

EDIT: Just saw your post, Sam

Hey BUSA,
I am counting my chickens before they hatch
I was just cheking out the prices for Pio HU (alpha), since i will be buying it from the grey market...
I am thinking of going to FXaudio for the JBL stuff with B&W. Since they are authorized dealers of JBL, i assume that they have standard prices that cannot be altered by haggling... Is my assumption correct
