since you are sold on JBL (are you?) I have worked out a sampel system. You can dothe same for many other brands as well.
Speakers: Infinty 6" components and coax (6020 and 6022): 16K
Amp: JBL 4060 for 10K
Sub: JBL GT4-12 in 1.25 cu. ft box for 7K
optional JBL 301.1 amp

JBL and Blau are not bad speakers atleast not Blau Thx/Thc. Blau GTO is not that good. But I suspect you will like the toanl balance of Infinty better.

.
I certainly choose the wine.and yeah, even i think i ll keep the blau hu and go for the above config. The prob here is as i m asking some one to get all this, i wont be able to hear them before buying.
thats why all the help and more is required.
any more suggestions, which is better 75.4 or 4060??

THANKS naivin ji

if you are getting the monoblock get the 4060 if you are getting only one amp get the 75.4 if you want one amp that can do both (sub + 4 speakers) get the JBL 755.6, Infinity 5350a or Blau 555.

am posting the specs of 5950 and 6950.. not too sure about 7950

both have a mosfet 50x4 output

out may have different equalizer settings but that's it...

i'm copy pasting the specs from the website... i'm quite sure they're the same system, this was told to me by the dealer itself and he advised me not to go for the 6950 as it's just unnecessarily spending extra money.

i love my setup at the moment, i run it with bass at less than 50% and it gives me a great output.

make sure your wooden plank is of good quality though, dont get the ones which are perforated because they dampen the sound in a bad way.

the only difference is
5950 - normal display (good enough imho)
6950 - dolphin display (1k more)
7950 - motorized panel and usb support (without any extra usb adapter i believe)

achha....? I'm still learning gunman, LBM was talking about some sound synthesizer making 7950 better in terms of SQ than 6950 and 5950.

LBM, can you please explain in detail what we shared across our PMs?

@wander: PM me and I'll mail you the contact info. Have given it to few others as well.

go for either the 7950 or any of the models you've posted above.. the 4950 should also do fine (although i'm not famililar with the specs)
the 6950 is the most unnecessary according to me...

if you are running off the HU wont the 7 band digital graph eq make difference in sound quality? (Read: Not loudness/output)

I felt there is a remarkable difference with eq, where you can fine tune and would recommend the higher model.

I have listened to the 7950 and 6950 I felt there was a differnce of sound and the 7950 sounded better to me. also the 7950 has a USB support option in a 9k price range which makes it a very interesting buy. As if you buy the 6950 and the USB adapter it will cost you very much.

agreed, technically they're the same but you'd be able to play around more with the 7950 than the 5950...

Default Need Help

Hi guys,

I know there have been lots of advises given about setting up and audio system and im damn confused, so need your help

I presently have the pioneer P1y HU, with the 691 yellow cones 6X9 speakers on the tray, also have some sad pioneer front speakers. that about it....

what im not happy about is the output from the front speakers. So i was lookin at removing the front speakers and installing the component speakers in the front doors

Needed to know which are the best components at a reasonable price,

also should my rear speakers and componenet speakers be directly attached to the HU?? or should i get an amp??, if an amp wht amp should i get???

hope u guys will help..

cheers
