Default Hey

sumanvr,

I had just recently come up with the same issue in deciding the Audio Setup for my car. And now that i have installed one already I suggest you avoid keeping the speaker plank in the bOot and accomodate the 4 speakers against the Door Pads. Now for the speaker setup, go for Components in the front and a 3/4 way speakers on the rear. I have the JBL GTO607C in the front and a set of Blaupunkt GTX173 in the rear. They sound decent as you are into soft music also have got a Polk Audio 8" Sub which is compact as i really find the space crunch in the Swift boot. So this should fetch you 12k roughly and yield good results.

Make sure you get a good headunit too!!!

Cheers!!

I have Pion HU with JBL components in front door with 6*9 in rear parcel shelf. Pretty clean set up.

I suggest you go with front speaker and HU for now and then later on decide if you would want more from the rear.

Yes I would recommend to get a Pio HU & a pair nice Components in front & that should do the job just fine

Jaggu's hit the spot for you

but 12K might not get you everything?
Please note

A pioneer HU older series 4950 or 5950 that ppl generally advise retails for 5600bucks in the grey market
so that leaves only 12k-5.5 = 6.5K

now if youre looking for component speakers AND rear fills in 6.5K then you will have to go for the JBL GT5 series components for the front and 6*9's for rear
i think the GT5 seires compos would cost around 4400 with B&W and the 6*9 rear ovals should cost 2500 rs in grey

so 5600rs for piuoneer 5950HU
4400 for front compos GT5-650C with bill
2500 for rears GT5-963 grey market
1000rs for the MDF rear tray + installation
13500 rs!!

if you wanna save more money you can go for a pioneer 3950 HU which has only 2RCA inputs. if you are never gonna put a subwoofer then this would be a good choice.!

if youre budget is more than 16K then you can get different speakers

Thnx Jaggu and Magna. I guess I can take up with front speakers now and look for the upgrade later. That should be pretty decent. !

Default ICE Help

Guys I need help on car speakers on my Swift. I have a budget of around Rs. 14000/- for 2 sets of speakers. I thought of going for JBL 607, 6" components, but was told that it is currently unavailable. I was adviced to go in for JBL 505c. Any idea as to what to go for. Advice

Sam knows more about the availability of JBL products. But if you cant find JBL try to find Hertz, Illusion or Blau's THc series.
