This is what I'm doing now.
I'm taking out the 9835 HU. I'm going to stick the PIO 7750 back in with DVA5210. It'll be connected as Aux.
I just cant digest the bass output now. Let's hope it changes soon.

I'll wait for gurus for any other changes.

Any further suggestions guys!

Default Shock!!! Never expected this! :D

Guyz!!!!!!!!!!!

Something very shocking is going to happen! But it's almost inevitable.

Yes! The change is going to happen. Back to Pioneers from Alpine. I dunno if I should really do this but I'm very much desperate. The Alpine 9835 and the DVA 5210 is going to be taken out. And the locations are to be taken by the ever trusted Pioneer 7750 and Pioneer XDV-P6.

XDV-P6 is a 6 disc single-din dvd changer (in-dash mountable). http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...126641,00.html

I waited for our gurus from Delhi to land here but I am now very much desperate for a better sound.

I think this change will be hated by many. But is there any other options I can opt for??

Any suggestions??

TATA it is. it seems!!! Or maybe this holy JK can throw some holy water or something....

The changer costs somewhere around 40k! Yes, Grey market again! But it does look lovely! (Pls no dolphins please!)

Can anybody suggest a dvd stand alone player or some nice Pioneer HU with 3 pre-outs?

Unhappy A sad ending for Alpine!!

The END of Despair!

This evening I went to Zuhemi, told him to take out the Alpines (CDA-9835 & DVA-5210) and fix my good OL' Pioneer 7750 back in. The buyer wanted the Alpines urgently and would'nt wait for one more day. And there goes a piece of my heart. Almost got to tears seeing that thingys removed from my car. The tears would'nt just roll down because the price I was getting for them held the eyes. (I'm not in any way trying to boast I made a profit out of it, But just wanna say how important were that thingys for me). The Alpine HUs were taken out with a lot care and it was handed over to the new owner.

I had a lot of expectations when I bought these HUs. They were like a treasure for me. I did'nt even my wife to handle them. The short period I was in possession of those, I did'nt even allow anybody to even insert a cd into these (I used to do it myself). And the remotes were always in my own pockets rather than in the car's. That's how important these precious thingys were for me.
I tried everything I could! But somewhere, something was wrong. And it just could'nt be identified on time. Maybe I should've taken my car to another good installer. But my schedule did'nt allow me so. And I could'nt wait for our gurus to arrive (Stupid me!!!). And after the usual dose of T-BHP ICE forums, I was in the verge of collapse without my ICE not in tune!!!

And the INEVITABLE happened: Yes the Alpines had to be taken out!

I am still a great Alpine fan! They give out the best mids in the business I think. And they certainly are great in build quality too.

Right now, I'm back to town square: A pioneer!!!!!!!!!!! I am but enjoying the sound for sure!

Further upgrade plans will be announced soon! wait for some surprises here too!

Music is where it is at and nothing (much less an Alpine) should distract you from that. I like well made audio too but it has to sound good too. I like my Alpines partly becuase after 20+ years of using Alpines I can operate one blindfolded (actually done this in a stationary car). If I even find a bad Alpine I'll give Clarion a try. I am impressed by what i heard from their 866 or was it the 868.

Thanks NavinJi for those kind words.

I've made some changes this week! AGAIN!!!!
Pioneer DVH-5850 DVD HU was added to the current Pioneer 7750. I know this HU is not such a great thingy. Offers only 1 pre-out :-(~
We utilized the AUX output of this HU and connected to the AUX in of 7750. This was the Only PIO single din DVD unit available this side. I am opting for a better DVD unit soon and I think it'll be the PIO AVH-7850 in-dash DVD player with a 7" touchscreen. The thingy is still not available here so will have to wait.

The setup sounds very good. Especially in the bass section. The theatre effects are almost present sans 5.1 and the music is good too. I would like to improve the mids a bit though!

Ok guyz!! What's your guys' opinion about this AUX setup? I opted for it because I could'nt find another good option.

(More upgrade plans coming soon, So watch this space!!)
