The standard box does not contain the suction based car mount or car power adapter (cigarette lighter to cam). They need to be bought separately. There is a USB cable and a wall plug power adapter. The USB cable can be used along with the wall plug power adapter.

Guys,
There are lots of fake SJ4000 floating around. Please google and check the difference between real and fake SJ4000 before purchasing. The fake one has some subtle differences like typo in the print.

Yes. I bought mine from Amzon.com (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1). You can check the picture showing all the accessories. The car mount is not there. You can also check http://www.foxoffer.com/sj4000-full-...l#.UuwN-3lIYlI. Again there is a picture of the car mount and car charger on which they say that those are not part of the standard pack. If your supplier is giving it for free, then it is great.

Need guidance. I am planning to order SJ4000 from DX.com:

http://www.dx.com/p/sj4000-1-5-tft-1...2#.U8trmNHlrDc

and, a car mount:

http://www.dx.com/p/universal-car-sw...3#.U8tqMNHlrDc

I will be using it in Fortuner. It will not be taken off to be used I another car i.e., single vehicle use.

Do I need to order other equipment as well with these to make it work properly?

thanks in advance.

Thanks rakesh. However, as I browsed through -I noticed the accessories are interchangeable with GoPro and in fact these are sold as fit for both. The link you shared does set out the relevant items. I will wait for a day to hear if someone else has any other suggestion else order by Tuesday.

Nayak, the link you have posted is a mount for a cell phone or GPS. You would require one of these http://deals.dx.com/team.php?sku=313776
The mounts for the GoPro and SJ4000 are interchangable

Rakesh, did you receive your SJ4000 yet? If yes, did you end up paying any customs duties to DHL?

One seller is charging 35 USD as the shipping charges via DHL and the cam is priced at 87.88 USD. Sounds reasonable if I receive it within a week since I have some long trips coming up. Please let us know.

Sorry for the late reply, finally got the mounts on Wednesday evening.Initial impressions-
1.Mounts are of good quality.
2.Nil vibrations (I was a bit skeptical on this)
3.Mounted the dash cam behind the RVM.
4.Starts and stops automatically whenever I switch ON/OFF the ignition.

Will check the video clarity over the weekend. In a nutshell quite happy with the set up.Will post the pics over the weekend.
