Hello bhpians...
1. I'm just wondering if 6.5" speakers could fit or made to fit in Wagon R on the front. I'm willing to mod and shed a few $$$. So please...

I understand that the stock setup allows no more than a 4" speaker to go in but I'm planning to buy Polk Audio db6500 6-1/2" Component System, if I could get this thing fit. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-06vxnfs...00&I=107DB6500

2. I would also like to know if a 4-channel amp can be installed in Wagon R.

Appreciate your help.

a 4ch amp cna be installed in most cars. if you are modifyng the door, make sure your door has enough depth to accomodate the Polk woofer.

Thank you guys...

At present, I have a very simple setup in my car, powered by Pio CD receiver and a pair of speakers only in rear (Pio as well), which I installed back when I bought the car in 2001. I don't even remember the model/rating of these as I was not much into these typa things back then.
I'm out of india and returning back end of the month. After much deliberations, I have settled down on upgrading my ICE with Polk(My white friend in the US has it in his VW and I was amazed at the sound quality these Polk could deliver) Here is what I'm planning to add to my car:

1. Rear: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-30139e1...00&I=107MMC690

2. Front:
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-30139e1...200&I=107DB400

3. 4 Channel Amp
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-30139e1...20&I=489AP1040

This amp is rated:
80 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms
125 watts RMS x 4 at 2 ohms
225 watts RMS x 2 bridged output at 4 ohms

My thought is to power all the four speakers with the amp (80w/per channel). What do you guys think about this? Also do you think adding a tweeter in the front would help (a Polk, may be.. LOL)?

I know the Wagon R has a 4" hole for the front speakers but ask if you can fit atleast a 51/4" speaker in the front. Most 4" speakers produce very little bass.

The Profile amp can be replaced with something like this
http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=14870
http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=14688
or for Rs. 5000 you can get the Sony 554 or for Rs. 7000 you can get eh Pioneer 6100 and Rs. 9000 the JBL 60.4 locally.
