Polytron? Was the JVC model called Polytron?
Else it must be end 2001 or later!
IIRC, Hitachi, Sanyo, Panasonic and JVC were the only four receivers available for well over a year after the service (Asiastar) was launched in Sept 2000.
I have been a listener since 11th Dec 2000. Hitachi set. Still going strong!
