Ok, time for some photos

The button colours can be changed in 4 different ways, to match the illumination in the car's instrument cluster. I'd changed it to Green yesterday night, but I'm back to Blue -- I think Blue is better anyway.

Thanks, clip! Yes, it is worth every penny. And believe it or not, I was thinking of them HSK 163s a month back. But well, real-life interfered.

The B&W price is 23K. The iPod cable came to 2K. I got both with B&W from the official distributor (the same place where the install was done).

Thanks, Gunbir! For sure! With the earlier HU, I hadn't experienced even 50% of what the speakers and amps could do. And this is exactly what Zuheimi remarked too, after the install.

When I play the same MP3 from an iPod, the difference becomes even more clear. Tracks that can be listened to very comfortably when played from CD at very high volumes make me squirm in the seat (in discomfort) when played from the iPod. I dunno if this is that good a thing :(
In my room , I have connected the ipod to a Pio deck , and its really good SQ wise (with my bare sense of what SQ means) and I noticed the same problem , In my case I was able to get rid of the problem by keeping the volume low in the Ipod say at 25% of it. After about 40% of the volume the highs starts sounding uncomfortably shrill , Try it.

@Max, I'm using a full speed iPod cable now, not an aux-in cable like I did before. The iPod is being controlled directly form the HU, and the MP3 files on the iPod are being accessed directly by the HU. It is faithfully (sniff!) playing back what the iPod contains. [:(]

Bravo! just as expected... if I may say so, knowing you and Zuhemi. Time for me to visit Cochin now.

Of all the high-end ICE installs here in t-bhp I feel yours is the most appreciated. I admire your passion Hydra. Hats off to you and Zuhemi.
