Oops missed that but I would have still chosen the Diesel Swift. I don't think people consider their monthly running any longer before buying a car, do they?

Yep, you and Kuttappan are officially the last people to have listened to the ICE.

Steering wheel upgrade is out. Airbag. One of the reasons I wanted to get a ZXi. And an additional reason that helped me decide against the swan-song of the more-fun-to-drive-factor of the Swift Diesel.

Not personally, but my dealer says it won't. I know him pretty well, so he'd be telling the truth. The Maruti guys also said that will not happen with 205/50 R16. And the OD is actually lesser than stock by 0.4" (though the additional width is the major factor). If it does happen, I guess I'll fix it with a spacer or something. When the TBHP tyredealer is around I have no worries about solutions, heh, heh. I will update here after fitment, if the tyre does scrape.

@Moralfibre, the trim level was also a factor. If the Diesel Hatch came in "Z" trim, I'd have gone for it. I wanted the additional ABS, Airbags, Climate Control, Rear W/screen wash-wipe & de-mister and the Seat-height adjt. Tilt-steering was an extra. I did not want the integrated HU, but here I did not have much of a choice. And, I don't have to wait for 2 months for delivery. (3 months at least for VDi with ABS). I also had the Choice of a Vxi wth ABS, but then again the ZXi won out. Ahhhh, before I forget, it also helps that I will get an 18K buy-back from my dealer on the stock Alloys and tires heh, heh!

No problem with that size anywhere. Neither front nor rear touch. Only issue is limited choice of tyres!

Congratulations on the choice Anup! And yes, thank God you're not getting the Goodyear's!

And I thought "205" tyres were more than adequate for MY car...good choice, enjoy

Except for the FG pods, I plan on a stealth install in the boot, with the amps under a false-floor, and just the sub showing.
Sounds interesting, do post WIP pics

And well, with some changes coming up in life, I will have some live yak yak yak in the car for ICE. Music will need to wait for a bit.
Congratulations! I'd be careful about openly referring to certain conversations as "live yak yak" ...

Congrats, Ashok!
I can see the ICE doing wonders in that Swift already. There'll be some surprises waiting for you. Be prepared.
