Yes the Kenwood 5110 is a 2-din 2-RCA pre-out HU. Priced between 7-8k for sure. (Grey prices may be). Better avoid Sony. Go for Pioneer/Kenwood/Alpines/Clarion/Eclipse HU.

It seems a new model for Kenwood is available in lieu of Kenwood 6539U. It's called 6043U and it's from the 2009 new series. Going to check that out tomorrow, hope it's at least as good as the replaced model if not better.

This is the new HU
Kenwood - KDC-MP6043U

Have not auditioned it but looks like elder brother of 5039/5539. If i have 9k i would rather spend it on 6539 than 6043, considering both have same SQ.

Agree, 6539 was better looking and had a better display too. And probably SQ wise 6539 was tad better, not very distinguishable I feel. But problem is that 6539 is no longer available :-(

Got is installed in my friend's fiesta today. Price is Rs. 8990/- MRP but you can bargain it for lesser price. We got a good deal btw . And for that price it's tremendous value for money. Heard another setup with some entry level boston speakers and JBL amp and sub and it was sounding pretty nice (although I think JBL GTO is better sounding than the Bostons). I feel this one is better VFM than the corresponding Pio.
Cons I found is the single 7 way Jog dial button instead of two in the 6539. Comparatively 6539 was easier to use. Now you've to press the search button to go to the iPod playlist.
And the display is single line instead of 3 in the 6539.

7150 = 6050 with White light.

Kenny is coming out with new HU on the lines of 6539, but i think it will be costlier. I might have TA and bluetooth. Their product launch is most probably in June i guess.

I really don't think 6043 is a replacement to 6539. It seems like a replacement of 5539 with B/W.

543 is good HU but its build can not be compared to 5039/5539.

.
Yeah man, that's what I thought too. I wish I've bought the 6539 when it was there, now have to wait for some other model which will be actually 6539 replacement but will be priced higher I fear. Thought of changing my own system too but will wait as 6539 was not there and Sathya told that there will be some new and better models (albeit pricey) will be launched soon. Or probably I'll go for the Alpine 9886 at last.
