That's excellent to know that you are happy with the SQ and have no complaints whatsoever. However, what i said was from reading this thread.

Maybe this could explain why I said that..

Hey Guys
Can Anyone post the latest prices of the following?
1.Kenwood DNX7380BT
2. Kenwood DNX7360BT
3.pioneer AVH P8490BT
4.Pioneer AVH P4490BT

I am looking for a touch screen Gps HU in the range of 25k to 35k max for my soon to be booked Honda city! I am currently not in a position to go around to various shops asking for the price... so if any kind BHPian has the prices of the above then it will be great! Also are there any other options beside the 4 that i have listed??

Thanks!

I have to get the HU through the Honda dealer due to my dads company policy(its a company paid car) .This dealer will only source pioneer, Kenwood and jvc!( they have some tie up).

I have been able to get the prices through my friend, the kenwood ones are way,way over my budget! but the pioneer ones are well in place, 27k for the p4490bt and 31k for the p8490bt.
I prefer pioneer over jvc(stupid brand loyalty!) so will pick up one of the two!
Which comes to my 2nd point. Whats the big difference between the two?? worth spending 3k more over the p4490bt?

Thanks

Require information on entry level BT head unit (single din). Pioneer/JVC/Kenwood would do.

Would pair up with JBL speakers.

Any suggestions ?

PS: I am an Android (Galaxy S) user.

Folks, an OT question:

Is there a HU that will fit the space provided for stereo in a '99 M800? You know the space is little wide and I had a cassette set which is not broken. THe regular sized HUs won't fit. Alternatively, is there a adapter unit which shall cover the space?

Replaced my stock HU, Alpine CDE-9845 with JVC KD-R736BT . Cost 7.8K. Basically I was looking for Bluetooth & USB support which my old HU didn't have it.
A small comparison:
1) Plastics used, touch & feel was better in Alpine
2) Ergonomics, both are more or less same
3) SQ was marginally better in Alpine
Overall I am happy that bluetooth in JVC model works well with my Windows phone.

Replaced my ageing pioneer HU in Innova with an Alpine CDE- 121E HU. Got it for 5k including installation. The sound quality sounds really good to me post the switch.
